Will ETTL/TTL work on my Canon 5D MK II and my 580 EX II flash?

No. This is very basic and doesn't send any through the lens info. You'll have to use your flash manually.

The answer to this question is definitely NO, ETTL/TTL WILL NOT work with this device. It will work, but the transmitter device does not communicate with the ETTL portion of your camera's hot shoe. If you want that, then go with a Phottix Odin transmitter and receiver. I did, and it works great. I ultimately gave the Cowboy wireless triggers to family; they work good in a pinch if you want strictly manual flash mode.
