5.0 out of 5 stars This book is where Psionics gets serious, January 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Will and the Way (AD&D 2nd Ed Fantasy Roleplaying, Dark Sun Setting) (Paperback)
For those who really want to delve into psionics this book is a must. It clears up most of the confusion that one might feel after reading the Psionics handbook. Expanded rules and examples of empored items, a ton of great new powers, sample NPCs, and a bunch of other cool stuff including High Sciences! The rules that this book sets out for psionic research and improvement are yet another great addition to the Psionicist class. Forget all those stacks of mage books and just get this one. Between this and the psionics players handbook you'll have everything you need.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Will is the only Way!, March 29, 2000

Ryan Winkelman (Good Ole U S of A) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Will and the Way (AD&D 2nd Ed Fantasy Roleplaying, Dark Sun Setting) (Paperback)
I have been gaming for about eight years now, and have played almost every class available. I was leary about playing psionists until I read this book, and let me tell you it changed my mind completely. This book not only brings to the forefront a class that should, by all rights, have few equals, it also delves into many areas that allow one character to stand out more from the rest of a party. Anybody can play thieves and fighters, and logical people can make a cleric or mage useful, but making a psion a strength to a group while not completely destroying the cohesiveness of the group is the key to gaming. This book allows a psion to be strong with out overpowering the rest of a party. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is willing to allow psions in their campaign.

4.0 out of 5 stars great book for basic concepts on psionics in ad&d., February 6, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Will and the Way (AD&D 2nd Ed Fantasy Roleplaying, Dark Sun Setting) (Paperback)
this book is still a great way for players to get a basic grasp of the psionic powers. though rules have changed it is much easier to understand than the way of the psionisist enclosure found in 2nd dark sun.

5.0 out of 5 stars The TRUE Psionics Handbook....., April 18, 1999

This review is from: The Will and the Way (AD&D 2nd Ed Fantasy Roleplaying, Dark Sun Setting) (Paperback)
This is a definite must have for any AD&D gamer who is considering allowing the art of Psionics into their campaign. The powers and proficiencies found within truely set the Psionicist class where they should be on the power scale.
