I very much enjoyed the Will & Grace finale last night. The only quibble I had was that I thought the final scene with Rosario was a little mean-spirited, if in keeping with her and Karen's generally adversarial relationship. That's about it as far as negatives for me. (I was also hoping we'd finally get more of a glimpse of Stan than his feet, but maybe in the reunion show...)

I liked the scene with the guy in the body cast, who "came out" with the same revelation as we've seen happen with other characters in the show. In that sense, he reminded me of the guy who was sitting next to Will that time that he and Leo went to a sports event. And there have been others like those two as well.

I was okay with the story taking those several big jumps into the future. It sort of reminded me of all those films that end with text on the screen describing what eventually happened to each character. American Graffiti is the one that comes to mind, although I've seen that same technique in numerous other films. It was very satisfying to see some of those events portrayed on the screen rather than just to read about them.

I didn't have a big problem with Will & Grace losing touch with each other for those many years. Believing that could happen to two such good friends did require some sort of suspension of disbelief. And, then again, that kind of thing does happen in real life, and their long separation from each other also served to set up the situation with their becoming reunited under the unusual circumstances that they did, as well as their becoming relatives (and I thought the two actors who portrayed their college-age children were absolutely perfect, by the way). And on the plus side, it was nice to see that Will and Grace were able to find truly fulfilling relationships (with Vince and Leo respectively), something which no doubt contributed to their losing touch with each other.

Still, the highlight of the program was the final three scenes, all of which brought us full circle from the first episode. I couldn't watch any of them dry-eyed.

First there was the beautiful Karen-Jack scene with their singing of "Unforgettable," which has already been commented on several times here, and which ended with the two of them repeating a gesture that was part of their first scene together.

Then there was the wonderful Grace-Will telephone scene that mirrored the very first scene of the series. They were both watching the same television program they had been watching 20 years ago (talk about suspension of disbelief!), and some of the dialogue was identical, as well as a reference to one particular actor from that program.

The final scene took place in the same setting as the final scene of the first program, with Will choosing it as the place for the four of them to meet as he recalled what happened when they were there the last time. His reference to the other characters who were in the original scene brought to mind all the wonderful guests, both one-time and recurring, who have been a part of the program since its beginning. And then the last program ended with a kiss between the two title characters, just as the first program did.

The four leads appeared on the Today show the morning of the final program. When Katie Couric (one of the many guests on Will & Grace over the years) asked them if they were satisfied with the final episode, Eric McCormack said that it was ambitious and went far beyond the endings of most sitcoms. I found the ending completely satisfying, and just a reminder of how much I'm going to miss this modern-day version of Lucy and Ricky and Fred and Ethel. Thank goodness that we have eight years of reruns of this ground-breaking show to always enjoy.

If I had to decribe the series finale of Will & Grace in one word it would be --Spectacular-- It was the Finale of ALL Finales. W&G has always touched me somewhere deep in my heart. This show is "Unforgettable". Leading me to my next point.

Jack and Karen's Duet of Unforgettable was truly amazing! I loved the song, their voices, and that look we saw when the song finished with: "Unforgettable too". That look touched me. And the fact that they were living together was really cool.

But Will and Grace were not. Some people think that the 20 year freeze-out was stupid, and impossible. It's not. It happens all the time. And the point was that no matter how long you stay apart from your soul-mate, you'll find that you can't live without them. For eight long years I have loved this show. I hope you do too. I loved the Finale the most.

In honor of eight years of the best show on Televison, I have but one thing to say: "Goodnight, Gracie, goodnight."

Really a nice ending to a memorable series. I especially loved Jack and Karen serenading each other with Unforgettable, you could see them look at each other at the end and it was Sean Hayes looking at Megan Mullally and it was touching. I always appreciated when Beverly Lesley was a character on the show so I was jazzed when he popped up, and his demise was appropriate. As for Will and Grace, well I just thought the ending for them was perfect, but was it just me or did you notice that no mention was made if Grace was still with Leo or Will was still in his partnership..it was just Will and Grace again....interesting...Well, I was a fan of this series, but I thought all the guest stars hurt the overall quality of the show, but I have to admit my favorite episode was the one when Michael Dougles guest stared...and I never warmed to Will's last boyfriend, I just never saw Will with someone like him, they just had no chemistry, I was always partial to Patrick Dempsey, he and Will had great chemistry and they made a handsome couple..anyway, it's a bit sad that it's all over, but at least it went out with a touching finale, that summed all the characters up in a heartwarming way and I can't help, but feel good about that fact.

What are we to do now that such a controversial, yet heart-warming and hilarious show is off the air. I will truly miss the joy and laughter I experienced each Thursday and will do this knowing it can never be replaced. Goodbye to Jack and his dimwit egotism. So long to Karen and her boozed up superiority. Farewell to Will and his anal retentive sarcasm. Good Night to Grace and her care free quirkiness. It has been memorable.

I was never so moved than I was when Karen and Jack sang that beautiful song "Unforgettable". I can think of only two other series which ended as perfectly..Six Feet Under and Sex in the City. This is without a doubt a must DvD for all Will and Grace fans, if only for that moment at the piano. I taped it, but honestly, I will watch it over and over to hear those two sing again. Bravo Will and Grace writers. To all the actors, thank you and to you fans wondering, is it worth it? Without any doubt.

Just finished watching the show with friends and talking about it over dinner. Loved it. I really, really loved it. And I was happy that everyone ends up with the life they deserved all along. And how about that duet between Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes?!! It was beautiful, and I was bummed to see that its not for sale on iTunes.

Recently, 'Six Feet Under' finished off with the best series finale I'd seen since the final episode of 'Mary Tylor Moore,' and I was just as happy with this episode. The last few had been pretty bad so I was a little worried about how it would turn out.

Thanks for all these wonderful years, guys. I'm really going to miss you.

I have been a fan of Will & Grace for the past 8 years and hate to see it go. Thank god they ended it on a good note. Unlike the horrible ending to SEINFELD this is a satisfactory ending. I'm not gonna say anything about how it ends.. Just go get it and watch it yourself or catch on TV.

The thing that killed me the most about this is the behind the scenes featurette.. You see how much ASS the writers really kiss during the typical day at the WILL & GRACE set. The joke are funny but not that funny people.

I hate fake people like that.

Thank god the show was as good as it was.

I absolutely loved how the "W & G" series ended with the nasty queen Beverly Leslie dying (hilarious); the antics of Lila and Ben (I wonder if the writers were paying tribute to the late Gregory Hines, Ben, from Season 2>)?; Will and Grace rekindling their friendship; Jack and Karen living a happy life together; Grace with her true love, Will with his. But, I think it would have been great to show what happened to Elliot, Jack's offspring. I loved that character and wish that the show would have incorporated him into the last show. After 20 years, the final part of the finale, Elliot could have been shown with a wife and kids, or anything just to have let us know what happened to him. Elliot grounded Jack in a lot of ways, and I always loved their relationship. Oh well, Kudos to the second best comedy ever !!! (sorry Will and Grace but I thought that those 4 lovable gals from Miami had the best show ever <"The Golden Girls">). I will surely miss "W & G".

Of course that was the title of the one hour retrospective that preceeded the one hour Series Finale that, in my opinion, wrapped up the eight years so perfectly. To end the series the same way it began in March of 1998, (I still can't believe it. Where has the time gone?!)with Will & Grace talking to each other on the phone while watching ER was just so befitting. I thought that the duet with Karen and Jack was incredible and believe that it will be the most "Unforgettable" moment of the whole series. With the fresh & outstanding writing, and incredible acting talents of Will & Grace now gone, Thursday nights are just a little less "must see". This DVD is a MUST have not just for Will & Grace fans, but for the simple fact that there will never be another show like it.

The writers went a bit haywire in the last episode but there was something there for everyone, with dream sequences and the tying up of loose ends. The scene where Karen walked in looking fabulous and not a day older than anyone else was classic and absoutely true to the character. The song from Jack and Karen was apt for the relationship they had. Megan is a wonderful singer for those who don't have her CD.......... and Jack can hold a tune too! The end was too sad for words but those of us who have collected the DVDs can relive happy memoroies anytime. Goodnight Gracie - and Will, Jack and Karen...............!
