Born in Adelaide, Australia to a small but explosive hardcore scene, Day of Contempt came to the attention of Good Charlotte during an Australian tour, and was invited to join the band for the rest of the run. In 2003 they played the first U.S. Made Tour with Stretch Armstrong and Terror, exposing US audiences to their own exciting brand of hardcore. Now relocated to Los Angeles, Day of Contempt have quickly established themselves as a band that will do whatever it takes: in less than a year the band has toured with Eighteen Visions, Bleeding Through and HIMSA, just to name a few. Their volatile live shows and amazing sound caught the ear of veteran producer Josh Abraham (Weezer, Velvet Revolver, Linkin Park, Orgy, Static X), who agreed to produce an mix their Epitaph debut EP, The Will To Live. I had never heard of these guys before I went to an Alexisonfire/Underoath/The Used concert(which was wicked). But these guys had so much energy live and sounded so good I had to buy the cd from them there. I took it home and listen to this album and was blown away on how well it was written/composed. Just excellent the whole way through. Now we need to have a full length album. But you won't be disappointed with this.
