About the Author

Ever since I was a young teenager, I have loved reading romance novels.  My auntie used to send me boxes of her books and I would devour them one after another. Every so often, I would read a mystery or a suspense or a paranormal novel as I love those genres too.  But romance is still my favourite. :)
For many years, I wrote technical and non-fiction materials for professional use and had only dreamt about writing a novel. Then, one day, after a period of binge-reading sexy romances, I decided to sit in front of my computer and start writing my first fiction book.
The result?  My debut novel, "Will To Love", the first in the hot and sexy Lifestyle by Design series.
After that, I knew that I would love to tell more beautiful love stories through my books. I live in Sydney, Australia with my amazing husband who lovingly cheers me on in my journey as a novelist.

I should preface my review by saying I'm at 55% and I am uncertain as to whether I will continue. First of all: my issue is not with the writing. I like the characters and the story. The people in the book are interesting and well-written as individuals. If you can get past the reason for my lackluster review, you will probably enjoy this book. In fact, I would probably buy another book by this author.

The reason I am not sure if I will continue reading is this: Clarise and Will are the whiniest, most dysfunctional couple I have read in a romance novel in a long time. They go on one or two dates and Clarise is crying herself to sleep because Will doesn't answer a text message while he's away on business. Will can't decide whether or not he actually wants to date Clarise, so he sleeps with her, assuming she understands that they aren't in a relationship. Clarise decides she LOVES him after just a few meetings. Will screens her calls and texts, and when he DOES answer the phone he deliberately says things to hurt her feelings (for her own good). Clarise tells Will she's okay with casually dating because she is certain that he'll be ready to hear that she loves him LATER. Will can't stand the idea of her with other men and she uses that to manipulate him into going out with her.

I can't stop rolling my eyes. Like I said, individually, I like these characters, but the dynamic that they have with each other is awful. So far this seems like the beginning of a long and emotionally abusive relationship. I would never stay with someone who treated me like Will treats her, and I would never stay with someone who gets so clingy and needy so fast the way she does with him.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my review and I have to admit I was not disappointed
I enjoyed the 2 main characters Clarise + Will both fighting issues from their past. The love scenes were hot and spicy
and I really enjoyed the overall story, There were moments where I wanted give both characters a gentle shove in the right directon but that made the story interesting. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

recieved this book free in exchange for a review. Gladly. Although I'm not terribly impressed with the picture on the cover I really enjoyed this book. I typically read mystery fiction and shy away from romances. Most are too "fluffy" and have little substance or plot. This one was a very welcome surprise. I could actually relate to what was going on with the charactors because they seemed like real life people. There was a lot going on beneath the surface and the reader never knew for sure how it would go till the end. Loved the end (although by then it was a foregone conclusion). Even hubby wanted to know how it ended and he's a history buff-go figure. Look forward to more.

Amazing book. I could not put this down. I can't believe how good it was. Two people are supposed to be set up on a blind date, but Clarise doesn't have any interest so she has a friend be her date. The person she is supposed to meet is Will and they end up meeting any way. Instant chemistry, but life gets in the way. Will has a plan and a relationship would just interfere. So they have some misunderstandings. The two will have to communicate to make this relationship work out. I loved this plot and the story. It was fantastic and I can totally understand how mistakes get made and you have to remember to talk to one another to work it out. It was a great first story in a wonderful series and I can't wait to read the rest. Miranda P. Charles does an amazing job weaving a plausible story and giving the characters a happily ever after. I recommend this book to everyone

Will is a workaholic trying to carry everyone's future wealth and well-being on his own. Clarice is a single gal trying to fly under the radar of her family's matchmaking attempts. Uh-oh Will is having the same sort of plans made for him! He wants no-strings but acts dog-in-the-manger if he sees or thinks of her out with someone else. Meanwhile his glacier to volcano actions totally confuse Clarice of his intentions at any given moment.
Now, to thicken the plot, stir in one close gay friend, multiple family matchmakers, uber demanding careers, a conniving ex-girlfriend and extensive travel and you have a relationship headed for disaster at any second. Can trust and newly discovered feelings have the strength of spider silk or will it all depart like mist in the sun?

This book was so great that I had to get book 2 and 3 immediately! So glad I did! These stories are totally intertwined, but can also stand alone. So don't be afraid to read them one at a time. Took a while to realize they were based in Sydney, Australia! Silly me I know! It was great to see love on the other side of the world!

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my review. Love at first sight? Is there such a thing? As noted in the book description - Will and Clarise met and felt the chemistry right away. Of course past relationships/feelings got in the way of that initial attraction. The book takes us though the "will they?" or "won't they?" I did like the characters, but the writing was different than what I am used to. I found myself thinking "who talks like that?" or "who says that?" even "who thinks like that?" There are some steamy love scenes that compliment the couple, but don't take over the sole purpose of the love story.
