Review

"A new and interesting book...Things that animal lovers will want to know. This book is well worth the price." -- Peter E. Drown, President, International Association of Pet Cemeteries

"I hope it's enormously successful and reaches millions of people." -- Roger A. Caras, President, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

"This book is dedicated to animal lovers and it fulfills its mission delightfully by demonstrating God's eternal plan for all of creation. References to Scripture and real-life animal stories are skillfully combined to create a thought-provoking vision of the relationship between God, man, and animals.

"We ask you to join in this journey and read the book with an open mind and an open heart. You will not only increase your appreciation of the animal kingdom, you also will find clarity concerning fundamental spiritual truths. The distinction between spirit, soul, and body; the impact of guilt, fear, and anger; and the role of compassion, sacrifice and forgiveness are applied to both animals and man. These principles and supporting Scriptures provide the underlying structure for the book. More importantly, receive the faith to look forward with assurance that what God reveals through His word will come to pass." -- From the Publisher

"Your book will be very helpful. Thank you so much." -- Dr. Jane Goodall, Environmentalist, The Jane Goodall Foundation

I have read the book and am sure it will help many people. It is a book for animal lovers. -- Annabel Robson, Commissioning Editor Religious Books, Hodder & Stoughton Publishers, London, England

I love your book! -- Jack Hanna, Director, The Columbus Zoo, Columbus, OH

The response from your segment is unlike anything we've ever seen - thought-provoking, uplifting and educational. -- Fox News Channel, The Staff of Pet News, New York, NY

You have performed a much-needed service in your exhaustive research of Biblical references to the immortality of animals. -- Dr. William D. Schul, Author, 'Animal Immortality', Center for Human Development, Inc., Wichita, KS

From the Author

Many Christians do not believe that animals go to Heaven. I have to admit that for more than 40 years, I was one of them. But one day as I was reading the book of Romans, I was amazed at what I read. I called some friends and before long, through various contacts, there was a team of Christians studying the word of God and delving into old Hebrew and Greek word study guides to seek the truth. The results were joyous and shocking. One person, Roger Fritz, delved into every word, phrase, and sentence making sure we stayed focused on the mortality and immortality of both man and animals. In comparing the differences, we discovered God's wondrous design for the earthly and eternal survival of the lives of every living creature and the eternal choice man must make concerning his own destination. It has been a most fascinating journey. We all hope you will have much fun, joy, laughter, and grow in your knowledge, and Godly wisdom.

When Samson passed away I was grief stricten and angry with God.I had talked with Priests and the like and the answer was the same pets dont have souls and therefore no enterence to heaven. This was truly a God send and written with the love and compassion that we share with through Gods love and gifts to and through them. I so loved this book that I gave one to our library, A Priest whom I found to also believe pets also join us in heaven and one for my family. Losing a pet is losing a family member and they are with God waiting for us gives great comfort. I felt better having Biblical proof that what I longed for was truly there in the Bible.

I've been a Christian for many years. I don't ever recall hearing a sermon on this subject. I am grateful to Ms. Buddemeyer-Porter for showing me that God has included my pets in his plans. I was skeptical at first, but I kept my Bible with me while reading her book, and I checked up on her use of the scriptures to back what she said. I was pleasantly surprised and blessed to see that the answers were always in the Word, and that I had just not noticed them before.
This is an exceptionally inspirational book!

This is a book every Christian needs to read. It shows the importance God gives to His beloved creatures. We are here as stewards of God's creation. We should treat all animals with compassion.
But for us pet-lovers, for those of us who consider our pets as family members, this book should give great comfort; a lot of loving work has gone into producing it. Pets will, indeed go to Heaven; the author has done a wonderful job demonstrating this from Scripture, with inspired comments of her own. Now, the question is, will we meet the Lord's requirements so that we will be able to join our innocent four-legged (or two) beloved companions there? We must be born again; they have no need of this.
This book could be a good conversion tool for the animal-lover who has not made a decision for the Lord.

This book is for all faiths. It recognizes that there should be no theological debate about the sinless nature of the lesser creatures and therefore no debate about their destiny. The references are from Catholic, Protestant, Hebrew, Greek, etc. It argues against the theological teachings that man is the only valued creature of creation, and through quotations from the various religous faiths it shows that all creation is valued, loved, and preserved by the Creator.

After losing my young golden retriever/aussie shepherd mix to multiple organ failure, my first thought was "why, Lord?" followed closely by "where is she, Lord?" This book will help guide you through that question and answer it based on what God's Word says - not man.
"Will I See Fido in Heaven?" will show you, verse by verse, God's plan for His creation and His will concerning the things He has created. It's a rich book which can be read over and over. It has a permanant spot in my library.
I also recommend this book for those who have not lost a pet. I found, after reading it, my relationship with my remaining pets was much enriched. I wish I had read this (and "Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates") prior to my Khiori's death. It would have greatly helped me through my grief and sorrow, while being assured her place in heaven.

My dad is a Pentecostal, I am a Lutheran (MS) He goes by what he is told the Bible says. He is told that only people can go to Heaven.
This has been an on - going dispute with him. With this book, I now have scripture to back up what was in my heart all along..
Yes, the book gives you scripture and goes one step more by explaining how the fall (sin) of Adam (man) effected the animals as well.
After the fall, man became with sin, but the animals are not. Therefore , they dont need to accept Christ as their savior by word, faith ect. Because they are free of sin and automatically know about Jesus and God ie; the trinity,(get the book) when they pass over, they pass right on into heaven as we do.
This book will make me a winner in this on going debate with Dad.

I bought this book a few days after we had our beloved Heinrich euthanized. He had cancer. This book is wonderful; it gave me peace and comfort. I always felt that animals had a spirit and soul, and that God had a plan for them. This book, so well written, uses Scripture to prove that our pets will, indeed, go to heaven. I would recommend this book for anyone who loves animals - it can add depth to your relationship during their lives as well as provide comfort when they're gone.

"The heart that is loved never forgets." These moving words mark the gravesite of a stranger's pet, situated close to the resting place of our beloved cockapoos Cuddles and Flip-Flop. Cuddles and Flip filled our hearts with love during the all-too-short sixteen years of their lives. Not a day passes that we don't think about them, sometimes with sadness, sometimes happily recalling the memories we hold dear. If you share the hope, as I do, that God has a special place in His kingdom for these creatures that hold such a tender place in our hearts, please read Mary Buddemeyer-Porter's book "Will I See Fido in Heaven?" If you have lost a pet, your hope will be transformed into an assurance as God ministers to your grief. Your separation will be only for awhile.
Throughout this wonderful ninety-three page book Mrs. Porter has skillfully intermixed relevant Bible passages with endearing short stories about horses, dogs, crows, and even a skunk. The author has written intelligently and addresses the question forming the title of her book: "Will I See Fido in Heaven?" The scripture verses give us the very real hope-the promise-that at death these gentle, loving creatures we call our pets enter into God's loving presence and care, and will abide with Him forever.
