As a newbie into the world of sudoku, I really thought this was a great book for starters. Even though it says "easy," I can tell that not all puzzles were exactly on the same level of difficulty. Think of them as ranging from "easy-easy" to "hard-easy."

And from learning to do these puzzles by puzzlemaster Shortz himself, they were ferociously addicting. Great to kill time on p.t.!

I bought Will Shortz Presents Ferociously Fun Sudoku for my wife as an anniversary present (and no, it wasn't the ONLY present I got her for the occasion!) She loves to play Sudoku and usually does the puzzles as a bedtime activity. She prefers the "easier" puzzles, since she's usually starting to doze off by the time she's nearing the end. And this book is filled with exactly the type of "easy" puzzles she prefers. So my dear wife is happy...and when she's happy, I'm happy.

Will Shortz is a genius. There has not been a crossword or sudoku book of his that I have found disappointing. There puzzles are HARD. Not for the weak of heart. BUT, the challenge of solving them brings a sense of real achievement, HARD WORK, and success. GOOD LUCK ! (Mr. Shortz has an incredible staff, who are REALLY great at what they do.)
