Three years ago my circumstances changed, I got married and since had a baby girl. I decided to use some will software to redo some of my old estate planning documents. Previously I had a will and living trust created by an attorney costing in the region of $1500. My financial situation has obviously changed also. On a recommendation from a friend who's an Attorney, I decided to use this will writing software, primarily to save money. At $47, it was a small price to pay when I realise the value of what I had received.
Firstly I had to revoke my previous will and trust, this software enabled me revoke both my previous will and trust, providing clear instructions on what needed to be done to revoke both. The revocation of the will was included in my new will, while the trust had to be done separately.
The creation process for documents is easy and thorough with a comprehensive help system included making the entire process user friendly and easy to follow. While other documents are available on the software my main interest was the will and the living trust, a document vital to reducing administration expenses on death and other issues. I did use the property management worksheets as I found it useful to organise myself prior to deciding what I wanted in my living trust and will.
The whole process took some time, of course I could do it in 20 minutes but I needed time to think and reflect on these important decisions. It was my family's future after all. Time I might not have had if I was sitting in from of an attorney. Now my documents are created and saved, I can edit or changed them anytime. The software also included a estate planning manual which is a wonderful addition and proved so helpful in giving me information to consider before completing my estate plan.
Overall I found the software to be a great investment and well worth the money for anyone wishing to create an estate plan.

Product KEY, Serial KEY, Online registration REQUIRED, Online Activation KEY...Are you kidding me??

This is 2012 and I feel like I just time-warped into the 80s with this stupid software registration process. Just how many KEYS should you need to register a piece of software? Apparently THREE was still not enough for ENODARE. Even after I loaded this onto my Dad's PC, entered the Product KEY, Serial KEY, filled out the online registration AND entered the Activation KEY, the stupid pop-up registration box would never show the "QUIT" and "NEXT" buttons...No matter how many times I refreshed it or completed the process.

Didn't have the time & sure don't have the patience to e-mail customer support & wait for a response just to start using software. Plus, UPS absolutely destroyed the CD case...But could've lived with that if the software would have loaded & worked. If Will Writer works for you, then that's great. But any software that FAILS at the registration process would get a ZERO star review from me. It's just so unnecessary and completely unacceptable in 2012...Being returned.

UPDATE: Will Writer DID NOT WORK on my Dad's Windows Vista PC, plain & simple. So earlier today I posted the above review about my experience with the software. Within 1 hour I received an e-mail from ENODARE sent to MY PERSONAL E-MAIL ADDRESS stating, among other things, that "your review damages our products reputation." Seriously. And although they acknowledge there is an "issue" between Microsoft's operating system and Will Writer, they accept no responsibility for it saying, "This in no way relates to our software..." Just WOW.

There is no mention of this "issue" in the written manual or at the ENODARE Registration Help Page.

I was able to start using the software within a few minutes. A quick guide comes with the software and gives a nice overview of the software. The navigation itself is straightforward making the software one of the most user friendly packages I have ever used.

I created a sample will and revocable living trust as a test. Both documents were easy to create; all documents use a standard question and answer process! A display at the top of each document tells me how far I have progressed in the document. Each document can be saved and edited again later if required! Once the document is created it can be then be previewed, saved, exported or printed!

During the creation of a document a help section is available on the right with two tabs. One of the tabs displays information on current screen which explains all the input boxes and also the button! The second tab contains a list of related links to the legal manual, so for example if I'm unsure about something on the screen let's say property management, then I click on, the help manual select property management and the manual is launched and opened directly on the required page...great feature!

* Wills and Trusts are both available
* Excellent help provided
* Well formatted final documents
* Software can see a little slow at times

It did what it said it would do on the Amazon description page. The software is very easy to use and follow. Will Writer is very user friendly which make the process straightforward. A lot of this is down to the GUI which is one of the better ones which I have viewed. It took me around 30-45 minutes to make my will. I was able to go back and make changes as well. A worksheet is available, had I done that first, it would have made the process quicker.

When help was required a quick help and a detailed manual are available. The legal manual provides a lot of answers to questions one may have. The manual is practical, easy to understand and quiet useful. A section of the software is also dedicated to the whole process of witnessing, signing and notarization of documents which proved valuable.

While I haven't finalized my estate plan, the will was extremely easy to create and appeared quiet will when printed. Other documents such as trusts, living wills and powers of attorney are also available. While I haven't created these yet, the process seems similar to the will. I have no doubt that they will work as well. At the moment I'm reading through the legal manual as it has specific chapters dedicated to each of the above. It's more like a book which provides a great overview of estate planning.
