I have a big collection of 3D Blu-ray movies, as well as 3D Xbox 360 games. More and more movies are being made and released in 3D as well, and I hope this truly will be "A single device for all your entertainment" by including 3D Blu-ray and 3D gaming capabilities.

It has a blu-ray player built-in and since Xbox 360 has 3D gaming I would assume that Xbpx One has 3D blu-ray support.

I'm concerned about this as well. When you do a reveal, you use all the tech jargon and buzz words you can. Their failure to say "3D blu ray" makes me quite worried. Its a make or break for me. I also have the Astro A50 headset and noted the lack of a 2.5mm jack on the controller. HOPEFULLY it can pair with the Xbox just as it does a PC and they ditched the necessity for the 3.5 to 2.5 mm jumper. Which was annoying anyways. FINGERS CROSSED EVERYTHING ELSE LOOKS SWEET.

J. Williams says:
It supports HDMI 1.4 which allows 3D playback and 4k. So it should be able to

Arxos says:
The Xbox One, as well as the PS4, will support 3D BluRay playback, as well as 4K video.

I read both consoles will support 4K for movies, but only the Xbox One will support 4K for games. Both will be able to do 3D for movies and games.

If it doesn't support 3D Blu-ray it's behind 2006 ps3 technology. It'd be the laughing stock of gaming in 2013!

A. J. says:
I believe supporting 3-D just requires having enough bandwidth since 3-D movies are usually double the FPS. So both systems should have no problem.

5 years ago 3-D was all the hype. Now most people don't care about it. Even at the big technology conventions, they hardly mention 3-D. I'm not surprised if neither Sony nor Microsoft make much mention of it.

True. Look at the 3DS. I used the 3D once in the beginning and never again lol. It's dead or dying. Except at movie theaters.

I actually like the 3D on 3DS. I usually keep it at max. I know a lot of folks can't stand it though.

It's not that I can't stand it, it was pretty cool for five minutes. It's just that it adds nothing to the game experience.

Totido says:
I think it does on some games, but it is annoying if you move out of the sweet spot.

I USED to feel that way about 3d ... then in Sept 2013 I saw a 3d movie demo at Costco of the new Vizio 80 inch that uses local LED dimming and PASSIVE 3d glasses ... the same cheap disposable glasses that Real3d uses at the theaters (for some reason, IMAX passive glasses do not work). Anyway, 3d on a big screen is a game changer...such a game changer that this plasma snob bought a giant LCD TV....now I have an IMAX in my livingroom and 3d movies can be rented from 3D-Blurayrental.com. My adult kids that could PREVIOUSLY give a crap about 3d NOW "gasp and swoon" over this 80 inch displaying a 3d movie ... it really is a game changer. Everyone that sees it in my house agrees ... this 3d thing on a large screen is the thing to have when you want to sit down and enjoy a movie or a game. Now...I am an old guy that is not supposed to warm up to THE NEW very easily...but to give you an idea of how far out I am ... I was stationed overseas when the first video game PONG came out. 3d movies can be rented at 3D-Blurayrental.com. Have some fun !

Thanks for the link. Mine was already on Day One pre-order, but I had been mildly trepidatious about the decision until this very moment. Now, since my 3D Blu-ray player is also my surround sound receiver, I have just one more issue to resolve...

@Frank the PS4 will not support 4k Video, I think that is a major oversight on their part.

and you also get that nice new 4K rated HDMI cable with your Xbox One too. Sweet.

The word is shills and no it isn't. The xbox one is already sold out. Anyone on here is a troll, like yourself, or someone who has preordered the xbox one.
