5.0 out of 5 stars It was a fantastic book that I couldn't wait to finish., April 7, 1999

This review is from: William Golding's Lord of the Flies (Bloom's Reviews) (Paperback)
This book was very interesting to read. I liked that the author secluded the boys on an island to keep whats going on in the rest of the world out of the book so the focus is on the boys struggle for leadership, the struggle between good and evil, and humanity and savagry. I also liked how the author used certain objects to represent things like democracy or civilized society. I read this book with a group that was set at a certain pace and I enjoyed the book so much I finished before the rest of them. It may not be a great adventure story, but it will keep you guessing.
