About the Author

Roy S. Hanashiro, Ph.D. (1988) in History, University of Hawaii, is an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan-Flint. He has published several articles on the Japanese Imperial Mint including The Japanese Imperial Mint and the Issue of Jurisdiction over Foreign Employees (Journal of Asian History, 1996).

This is an academic book and is only of concern to those with specific interests addressed in the tome. Its a hard read but very well researched and if this is your thing then its excellent.
