Editorial Reviews

Review

"EATING GOOD IN THE MARINA. Next time you're in the bookstore looking for good recipes, good wine tips, or good local authors, check out 'William Maltese's Wine Taster's Diary: Spokane/Pullman Washington Area' and the complementary book co-authored by Spokane's own Bonnie Clark (no relation to Ed Clark), and William Maltese, titled 'Back of the Boat Gourmet Cooking'." --Ed Clark -- Entertainment Spokane! 15 September 2010

More About the Author

I've been in the business of writing books for a very long time, and I derive particular enjoyment from visiting different places and then trying to relay the "essence" of those places to my readers. Likewise, I'm very adventuresome as regards trying new things, whether it be exotic and strange foods and/or other more personal "things".

Wine Taster's Diary

If one desires to travel the area to obscure little districts that produce wine, then this book can be your guide. On the other hand, if you just want to know the tastes of the different wines in the Spokane/Pullman area then - yes, this book is also for you.

It combines history of the companies, locations grapes are obtained from and why, ambiance of the tasting rooms/wineries, and flavor characteristics of the different blends. It has an easy to use and well formatted design. Throughout the book, food and wine combinations are suggested that enhance the tasting encounters expressed. Moreover, international experiences of the author give more credence to the evaluation of these local wineries.

This book lets you compare wines without the expense of purchasing each one - or gives you details of where wineries are located for a personal experience in tasting.
