Highest quality printing with full documentation of the whole range of this artist's works from sketches to oils. A real treasure part of a core collection of a handful of books I consult on a regular basis for my own painting. Not so well known, but deserves to be

First off, if you are looking for a lot of biographical information, I would recommend "A Mine Of Beauty." With over two hundred color reproductions (and about ten pages of text), "True To Nature" is a visual delight for fans of Richards. Includes numerous plant studies, in addition to the landscapes and seascapes he is best known for.

This is a great book, however, I wish the photos of the paintings were larger, and would fill the pages. The catalog section tells the medium and substrate of each painting listed. Very helpful. A small note, the descriptions should give inches as well as the centimeters for the originals.
