A rare book on an individual that should get more coverage. A British Army Officer and Royal Governor of two colonies the book covers all of his successes and failures. It also gives an even handed discussion on his hard line stance against the American Rebels.
This is a fine book that is a wealth of information for those interested in Royal Governers, Colonial Governments, the coming of the Revolution and the British military stances of the time. |
