another magnificent Wegman calendar!, August 7, 2001
Who doesn't adore William Wegman's photographs? The photo on the cover of this calendar is entitled "Opera," and it shows a puppy with mouth agape, yawning madly. It's but one of the many adorable photos that make up Wegman's Puppies Calendar for the year 2002. The calendar has 12 photos of expressive, cute, adorable puppies, as Wegman's calendars always do. There is not a disappointing photo in the bunch. As is typical for a Wegman calendar, the puppies are set singly and in groups, in a variety of settings: on a boat, in a field, with a vase of flowers, and, my personal favorite: 3 puppies sleeping atop a stuffed snowman pillow! If you've enjoyed William Wegman's books or calendars in the past, this 2002 Puppies calendar is a sure thing! Heartily recommended. ken32

Very cute book, great for puppie lovers, December 2, 2001
I picked up this book the other day, and It is by far the cutest out of all the Wegman books. You always see the full grown dogs in his prints, but this book puts together the puppies. There is a touching/nice story to follow from page to page, that gives meaning on to why he chose dogs to photograph, and how much they mean to him. The photo's are very cute, and it is a simple book, nice for children. I love Wegman's work, and this one is just plain cute, a change from his fashion prints with all the costumes, this book just takes a look at the puppies, plain and simple. ^^ The only thing I wish, is that there was a bigger showcase of pictures.

Wegman Delights with His Puppies yet again..., January 3, 2000
One of the greatest pop culture references of the late 1900's has to be William Wegman's puppies. These images resound with character and delighted me (and I'm a cat lover!).
