Willie Heath Neal is a rarity among today's country music artists, who often fit closer to "pop" than "country". His deep, gravelly voice sings of women, whiskey, and the troubles they brood. Willie's music undoubtedly hearkens back to one of country music's true greats, Johnny Cash. I recommend this album to any country or rockabilly fan who likes music the way it oughta be - raw and real. And if you ever have the chance to see Willie Heath Neal live, be sure to go. Though the CD's great it just can't capture the fire and intensity he evokes in the flesh.

i been waiting along time for a record like this,country music the way it should be.IIf you like country music recorded in the 50's and 60's don't let this record pass you by.An upright bass,pedal steel,a telecaster,and mr.willie heath neal.

Willie Heath Neal fits right in to a groove of country that
although unheard on Nashville Pop Radio, is alive and kicking.
Reminiscent of what is truly country, i.e. Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Webb Pierce, and King Hank Williams, is an onslaught of artists including Wayne 'the Train' Hancock, Dale Watson, Big Sandy, and even Hank Williams' own grandboy, Hank Williams III.
Willie Heath Neal joins this movement with a true passion, really fitting in. If you haven't heard any or all the aforementioned, do so immediately. You'll wonder where you've been all your life.
