5.0 out of 5 stars BEST VIDEO I'VE EVER SEEN!
This is a GREAT video! If you have the cds "Willie Nelson's greatest hits live in concert", or "Willie Nelson Live", or "Willie Nelson Always on My mind and other great hits live", then you know what's in store for you. Those CDs were made from this video. You can listen to clips from these CDs by looking them up on Ebay. He does Night...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not as good as could be
it's OK, but it doesn't take full advantage of your surround sound equipment. Don't get me wrong, Willie does a nice job and if you're a Willie Nelson fan, you'll probably like it.

Also, some of the songs are cut short, which I personally don't care for. If you compare the production and Surround quality to the John Fogerty DVD.....you'll get my drift...

This is just a great DVD. Must have: Roy Orbison Black and White Night and Willie Nelson Greatest Hits. Stage lighting distorts some scenes but the sound and the production are excellant. Buy it if you like Willie, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars FREE WILLIE!, October 22, 2005
Ever wonder where the movie Free Willie got it's name.
I always wondered if it had something with a political statement to do with Willie Nelson in jail by order of the IRS.
I don't know if it is true or not but you have to wonder especially being a die-hard Wille Nelson fan that gives loyalty to the man himself.
What could rock more than to see Willie on stage.
Willie is in his 70's and is still the long haired war-protesting hippie with braids and all he was decades earlier.
I hate country music but I like what Willie Nelson does because is not crap kickin low like country is. He is an outlaw. He destroys country and make music that is actually good that I dont need to shake the manure of my boots after listening to it. Although his studio material is grand his live material rocks almost as hard as Made in Japan by Deep Purple. Willie is a hippie not a crapkicking redneck!
His trademark nasal voice makes him original and not like that crappy yodaling that most country singers have and sounds incredible on stage and this album.
Back in the early 1980's and I could never say this now because style has changed and dreadlocks are cool and common now but I used to watch him on stage on PBS when I was a child and would laugh because I had never seen a man with braids in his hair because I had never seen Bob Marley. I guess thats where he got the idea to wear braids in his hair. I think it is cool!
But Willie Nelson is just cool. I wonder if I bought this album if it would fund Farm Aid and BioWillie which are programs that have transfomed Willie Nelson into a hero in the community.
No I am not a hippie and I think marajana should not be legal and even though I hate war I think it is nessesary at times but many of Willies heroic efforts have been great nevertheless.
This album is great and so are all of Willies albums.
This is classic Willie at his best. And he is pretty old on this album even though it is about 20 years old. Willie Nelson was over the hill when he became a superstar because he never stopped trying. He was very young when he started making music and no one would sign the poor guy and make him famous.

4.0 out of 5 stars ok, for Willie's fans. It is not really great., November 1, 2002

Started to hear the songs of Willie Nelson around summer 2002 because I saw gap's ads. Well, Country/blue songs he's written most of them are great. Love to walk on the streets and carry discman to experience the feeling. But some of my favor songs are not quiet right on rhythm in this perform DVD, Like "Always on my mind" I would like the old version. "Good hearted woman" I like the version with Waylon Jennings. The rhythm I sure is faster than the olds (But I don't like it, Just cannot adapt the songs required). Some people said Willie Nelson should retire. Yes, he should. What I like him not only songs he sang and wrote but also the contributions he did to country (like farm aid...). I just don't like the modified songs, like quickly to finish the show. I cannot feel what I listen from CD and cannot feel the feeling I had before. The ambition to have this DVD is hurt. I have been searching it in stores long. Many stores don't have this DVD. Now I might know the reason is. That is not I want. But anyway, he is my idol. I may learn guita.... Yes, indeed, some songs are ruined
