4.0 out of 5 stars 4 stars for Ms. Hess!, February 13, 2002
By
This review is from: Willow (Leisure historical romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I loved this story. Not how it started, but the budding romantic parts between Jules and Willow.

Willow's father wants to use the water that is on Buck Axel's land for his cattle, and to get that he has to get access to the land and plots to marry his daughter (who despises him for his treatment of her mother) off to Buck Axel and he will marry her off to the Brute at any costs.

Her mother writes to a friend's son about helping her get a job on his ranch and he accepts. So her mother and the hired hand, Smitty helps Willow escape the clutches of her father and Buck Axel and into the arms of the ruggedly handsome Jules Asher! A love story I still remember 3 years after first reading it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner for Ms Hess, April 22, 1998

For my money Willow is another Great for Ms Hess. It was almost like being on the side line and watching two young people at war with them self and their pride. Each found pride made a cold bed fellow. The ride to Corrie Mae's cabin in the mountains, I could almost feel the cold wind in my face, just to be able to live there would be a dream for me. Jules, a man use to having his way with women, met his match with Willow. The few days Willow spent in the mountains made Jules feel what it would be to live the rest of his life with his well guarded freedom. Even with the peace of the cabin, Willow learned what life without Jules would be like and what was really important to her. I bought this book at lunch time, by the next morning I had finished it. I'm forced to buy all of Ms Hess' books, because they are always checked out at the library. Besides if I buy them I can re read them any time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't the BEST, but was good., November 5, 2006
This review is from: Willow (Leisure historical romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I liked the book, the only thing I didn't like was that in the writing it was like she was trying to cram everything into the book and leaving alot out, I felt it needed a little more description, not too much though. Otherwise, I did enjoy the book, the story line and the charactors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Work of Art, January 20, 2002
This review is from: Willow (Leisure historical romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I am a big fan of Norah Hess, and she hasn't disappointed me in her writing yet. Willow was a wonderful story, and as usual, I fell in love with Jules, the hero. This book had me on the edge of my seat, and I hated to put it down. Norah just can't write fast enough for me, and I always buy them, regardless of the story or title, because I know the author's work. She has the good parts, and the sad parts, but they all come together in the end.
Thanks for another wonderful story of romantic bliss!

5.0 out of 5 stars Spectacular!!! Another great one from Hess!! Way to go!!, June 15, 1998

This story begins with an abused girl named Willow. She runs away, and you can just feel her tension and excitement about what her job's going to be like, will her father and that barbaric Buck Axel track her down?

All these questions and the answer within 400 pages. Spectacular. I look for Norah Hess books all the time.

By the way, I recommend, "Jade," "Sage," "Storm," and "Devil In Spurs,' one of her earlier novels.

Love ya Norah!! Once again, you've shelled out another novel where I really got my money's worth!

4.0 out of 5 stars One of better western romance novels, December 10, 2009
This review is from: Willow (Leisure historical romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Not the best that I've read, but pretty close. I like the more descriptive love scenes, this book just skipped right over them, but Willow and Jules made up for that with their entertaining banter.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books I've read!!!, May 19, 1999

This review is from: Willow (Leisure historical romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
The characters in this book were so easy to get attached to. They were like family by the end of the book and I hated to see them go. I was especially sad when Smitty's character was killed. I loved the sparks that flew between Willow and Jules. This book was hard to put down!
