For a fast, fun and funny read, you can't beat Jacquie Rogers' historical western romances! I didn't want this short story to end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and funny July 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I've loved Jacquie Rogers' stories since I read Down Home Ever Lovin' Mule Blues and she hasn't disappointed me yet. This is another hit. Willow is funny and sweet.

Merlin is doing penance as a donkey, and his current goal is to find true love for Luke Tyson. Unfortunately, Merlin hasn't quite caught up to the 19th century, and his role as Cyrano de Bergerac doesn't go well. Offers to slay dragons don't go over well in 1885. Merlin doesn't really improve much from there. Join Luke, Willow, Merlin, and DeborahAnne, Willow's freakishly wise chicken, as they give the bad guys the boot.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOL Talking Mules are a hoot July 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I got hooked on talking mules after I read Jacquie's first book, Down Home Ever Lovin Mule Blues. This mule (and book) is just as funny and just as determined to get the two people together. LOL

More About the Author

I'm a former software designer, campaign manager, deli clerk, and cow milker, but always a bookworm. Reading is my passion--westerns, fantasies, historicals of any era, and all with a dash of romance. If an author can make me laugh, I'll buy every book he/she ever wrote.

While I'm a country girl by birth, I currently live in suburbia with my very patient husband (important point: we are the staff of one cat) I don't think you can ever take the country out of a girl's heart. That's probably why my stories often take place in Idaho where I grew up. (Much Ado series and some of my short stories, too.)

On my website (JacquieRogers.com) you can find lots of Bonus Features for my stories and other fun stuff. Please let me know if you've posted a review and I'll give you a sneak peek into my next book. Enjoy!
