Andrew Marshall and crew has returned into the beautiful instrumental world of Willowglass. If you are into old school Genesis, Instrumental Tull, and Anthony Phillips, this album will be up your alley. Yes you can hear the staple sound of synths and Mellotrons that are a given for Willowglass, but the use of flutes, violins, and solid drumming by: Hans Jörg Schmitz (drums/percussion), and Steve Unruh (violin/flute/guitar), give the album a different yet familiar flavor than the previous releases.

The Dream Harbour contains 4 lengthy pieces (The first track is over 20 min.), bridged together with oh too short tracks that have a more personal feel.'

I don't want to provide any spoilers, but the tracks vary from technical, to emotional, and contain enough time signature and style changes to make the toughest prog-snob quite happy.

One of the nicer additions to the CD is the care that Andrew has provided with a mult-paged insert that is missing in most independent works. You get a lot more than you pay for!

If you like the lighter side of instrumental prog, this is a MUST BUY. And after falling in love this this disc, check out Willowglass' first two CDs which are just a wonderful. Enjoy!

This is music for them of us liking the mellower of 70ties prog. Like Renaissance, Fruup and Genesis. BUT... and this is a really BUT; the music is all too sonically complex. It is layer upon layer of electronic sounds in the vein of mellotrons. It became so sonically thick that you get totally exhausted. Why haven’t the composers/musicians/technicians made it more like the new Renaissance disc. Its beautifully mixed and put together sonically. Not too much, not too little. Willowglass has tried to much and achieved far too little. The intentions also on a musical level are high but the result is not up to aspirations. Then this is said Dream Harbor is better than 90 % of all that new prog that are produced today. For next effort the advice is "Less is More" dear Willowglass.
