Important Information

** For those wanting to use this product for Soda Stream or other like ways.... To use this product, you can either purchase a BIB tap valve (also sold by Williams Co. - ASIN: B008GPRX0Q) to help make for easy dispensing in original box, or you could simply remove the bag from the box, cut a SMALL hole in the corner of the bag, and CAREFULLY pour product into a different container for easy storage and dispensing. (Williams Co. is not liable for spoilage mishaps as this is not the intended use.)

**For Soda Stream users ** Although this syrup can be used with Soda Stream, it is meant for REAL Soda dispensers (ones you would see in restaurant, fast food, and bars). All bag-in-box syrup is 5 to 1 concentrate. Soda Stream Syrup is 23 to 1. So you will need more syrup then what Soda stream would normally use. (Soda Stream makes their syrup 23 to 1 by adding a lot of diet sweetener, even to their sugar based products, which is why most people prefer real syrup)
For Example, if you have 25 oz of water you would use 5 oz of syrup. You may add or subtract syrup to your own personal taste. With soda Stream you may need to tilt the bottle back and forth a bit to be sure it is mixed properly. BIB syrup is thicker (because it's got more sugar) then Soda Stream's syrup, so mixing may take a bit more effort. (with exception of Diet BIB syrups)

1 gallon of BIB syrup should produce about 6 gallons of finished product so that means about 22 liters for Soda Steam.

Please message Williams Co. if you have any questions.

Size: 1 gallon Verified Purchase
We bought a SodaStream unit in hopes of making our own tonic. After reading the reviews on the SodaStream tonic (sicky sweet) I looked into tonic recipes and finally found this gallon syrup package. They use high-fructose corn syrup for sweetening. Not healthy, I know, but then again, gin and tonic ain't exactly a recipe for a long life. The first batch didn't turn out so hot - I figured it was because I used tap water instead of filtered water. Next batch with filtered water was much better. I'm still fiddling with how much syrup to add and it's getting better each time. I'm not so sure that I'm saving any money, though. Schwepps 1 liter is just a buck at the grocery store, and when you figure you get about 20 liters of tonic out of this $20 gallon of syrup, that amounts to the same thing. When you figure in shipping, it tips the scale the other way.
