Excellent Live Recording,

If this cd only had two songs on it I would by it just for "The Only One" and "Strong." Lecrecia Campbell's voice is as beautiful as ever. The songs minister and I cannot listen to them enough. It's the only cd in heavy rotation while I'm at work. It keeps my mind stayed on Jesus!

Wilmington and Chester "Massed Choir", as the late Dr. Robert Fryson would put it, is one of the paramount choirs of this century. Their sound and orchestration is awesome. Their style and selection of songs are to be highly commended. With choirs you often find that either they have a good sound and a poor repetoir or a poor sound and a good repetoir. Wilimington and Chester posses both. They have been consistent throughout the years blessing ears with their distinct melodious sounds. As a Minister of Music many times I find it difficult to obtain music that is suitable for my choir and will edify the congregation. Wilmington and Chester has done an awesome job providing music , as we say in the Black Gospel Music field, which all can use on Sunday or Sabbath morning.

I have always been a fan of Wilmington Chester. However, I don't think I really like this particular project as a whole. I like a few songs on the CD, but not many. I felt that some of Lucrecia Campbell's ad-libbing was a little over the top at times. Also, I can say that this is not their best work. "Praise Him" should have been the first track, because it's a great song. It's buried so far down the CD, you might eject the CD before you get to it. "Sing a New Song" is kind of annoying, because they hold some of the notes out forever. Ok, this is just my personal opinion. To let you know where I am coming from, I listen to mainly contemporary and urban music. Recently, I have purchased more gospel choir music because I play drums at my church. If you are more of a traditionalist, you will love this album. Many of the songs on the album are great for the choir on Sunday morning, so that is one good thing about this album. Speaking of the songs I like they would be: "Praise Him", "The Only One","We've Come To Praise", and "Be Glorified". I really like those four songs. The rest of the songs I can do without. Be Blessed
