This was purchased due to poor signal strength in a downtown condo building. The building would not put in repeaters, and every carrier's customers had problems. I purchased and installed this device, and my signal strength went from none to strong. If you live in a dead signal area due to obstructions, this device will resolve the problem. It is highly recommended. I've also used it in an office building with metallic reflective glass, which blocks cell phone signals, and I go from barely one bar to three bar's of signal strength. It works well on the move too with the AC adapter.

Needs a good trucker antenna like the wilson trucker also get a DC adaptor (from ratshack) to use it at home. it does get warm but it icnreases 3G signal strength amazingly well from isnide my house.

This is the real deal if you live in the places where there is not much coverage. I live int he northern plains and have used it a lot.
