Wilson Cell Beam Antenna,

I use CDMA Verizon service and find it works about the best here in Az.I almost hate to say that this product works so well because Im afraid the price will go up when manufactures of these antennas realize what they have.
I camp in REMOTE locations here in Az. 25 to 50 miles from cell towers. Since Analog cellular is being closed accross USA consumers are stuck with digital cell service only.(it doesnt propagate as well in some rural locations)You might need an amplifier with this unit though I dont use one presently as you can add it at anytime. Also, you MUST have a external antenna jack on the back or side of your cell phone to plug the antenna into. PLEASE beware that cell phone manufactures are being real As*holes and leaving them off of newer cell phones. Why dont they want you to be able to use a product that we pay and depend on so much?! So do research and find out which phones have them. ( prime cellular.com )Look under adaptors section. Also WilsonElectronic.com has some info too. This antenna is more labor intensive as it is a beam NOT an omni directional. You WILL have to turn the antenna slowly to get the best signal. Omni directional's you just put them up and hope they work So give it a shot without an amplifier first. Also,I bought the 800Mhz. Model as some networks use both bands.(verizon) Dont

Bought to ensure adequate signal for wireless internet. Works as expected and of good materials. Would recommend this as an improvement but will not perform miracles.

I bought this antenna to address a weak broadband signal problem in a very hilly area around the Catskills (NY) northern foothills. Curious that the 800 MHz band is almost non existent there, so my cell phone is useless. But I get intermittent Wireless Broadband. The nearest cell towers are tens of miles away, and signal strengths with an omni antenna were generally in the -85 area or worse. This antenna when carefully and deliberately aimed with a meter brought me down to a usable -73. A dual band amplifier is guaranteed expandable in the future if the cell band becomes more viable, but for now I guess I have to settle for four bar wireless broadband, and video web telephone, an interesting trade off.

I live in a very rural area that gets spotty cell signal at best. Most of the time I cant get a signal, and when I do, it only lasts for maybe 5 min, so I can maybe send and receive stored texts during that time, but would never be able to make/receive calls. I bought this Yagi antenna and coupled with the cell amplifier I bought from Wilson, I now have 3-4 bars of service inside my house. Its great and worth every penny! Since I know that cell companies are only going to build cell towers where they are apt to get a return, this is the next best option. It picks up the slightest signal, and then the amplifer extends it inside the house. If you are looking for a good cell antenna, this works great.

This antenna in combination with a Wilson SOHO amplifier works well. I had tried a different directional antenna with a zBoost system that did not work.

I purchased this product a few days ago along with Wilson Electronics ampliphier. I never was able to make a phone call on my Backberry until I installed them. I get now pretty much full bars on my phone. I used to get -100 dbm to -110 dbm inside the house. It is running between -60 dbm to -85 dbm inside the house which more the enough for me. I most likely will disconnect the landline phone soon. The product is well built by the way.

Absolutely great for fixed locations! It blocks "side signals" and boosts those from one directions - thus speeding up performance and reducing dropped calls, etc. I use it for Wireless Internet and I went from 2 - 3 bars to a solid 6-bars and never a dropped connection.
