This review is from: Wilson Championship Extra Duty Tennis Balls (Case) - T1001 (Misc.)
I have 2 german shepherds...1 is 18 months old the other is only 6 months. They are EXTREMELY ball driven. I'm outside with them, just for ball play, at least 5 times daily spending approx. 20 min each session. We've trashed over 100 balls..some do get lost, or they lose their bounce or the dogs 'pop' them. The balls they sell in pet stores, which I thought were made for dogs, had no bounce and were no challenge any dog to 'pop'. Most tennis balls either died after too much mud built up or would pop afer only a weeks use. We finally bought 3 of the top rated tennis ball mfg's ...Wilson Extra duty won hands down.THese balls get nice and juicy from the dogs' mouths, mud covered to the point I almost can't see them in the grass (puppy doesn't always bring it back all the way...yet) , they chew on them on the trot back to me, plus they love jumping to catch the ball on the bounce - clamping down for the mid-air catch...they are not gentle by any way. Let me tell you, these balls are the best! They are in a dogs mouth, rolled through dirt, become muddy, yet, they keep bouncing. I had two cans for over two weeks with two dogs chasing and fetching. No popping and they maintain their bounce. I know tennis places a different stress on a ball, but I was so impressed with the performance, I bought a case. Still on the first 2 cans for two weeks and the balls are holding their integrity. They haven't even lost any of these. |
