My wife wanted to go back to tennis after 7 years, and since she never finished her training the first time, we decided to get a beginners racquet and see how it works for her. A little bit of online search revealed this Wilson model among the top ranked beginners' racquets which was also surprisingly the cheapest on the list! It was a no-brainer, and we ordered it through Amazon.

The racquet is extra large, which is advised for beginners, and it seems to be of good quality. There is no case or cover, and you receive the bare racquet plastic wrapped in a typical Amazon box. My wife is 5' 2", and we were worried if 4 3/8" grip to be too big for her, but interestingly it needs some additional grip tapes to make it a perfect fit. We are happy that we ordered 4 3/8" instead of 4 1/4" version, because you can always increase the grip size with additional tapes.

If you are looking for a cheap beginners' racquet, there are not many options among the top brands. In this price range, we could only find this Wilson and the "HEAD Ti. Instinct Comp Tennis Racquet," but we went with Wilson because of the reviews. However, the Head comes with a racquet cover.

My son wanted to join tennis for the first time (freshman) and we had a rather expensive, but older racquet at home. Turns out there are lots of thing I do not know about tennis and racquets. The old one was heavy and the strings were, apparently, not consistently tight. I really don't understand the jargon. Anyway, went on Amazon and read reviews for this, purchased one, and he LOVES it. He came home ecstatic over the improvement in his game immediately.

This is my first racquet and I dont have any complaints. It is easy to handle as it is light weight and since it is X Large it is good to play some tough shots!

It is amazing for this price. It feels light and solid. Easy to grip and to swing. I am not an expert at playing tennis and am very possibly missing some technical aspects that may make a difference for the expert. But there are many beginners like me out there than can have a very good start with this racket.

It is comfortable, good grip, and the extra size makes a difference. It could be a just a little heavier but that is a question of personal preference. If you are just starting out or play casually, this racquet makes playing enjoyable.

I bought two of these for my 9 year old son, who wants to start playing tennis. The extra large head is nice for beginners and the racket is very light. Highly recommend for the entry level player.

This racket is good value for the price. I bought this racket just to play tennis a few times a month with some friends (we all lack solid tennis experience). Make no mistakes, you are not going to become a pro using this racket, but you can definitely have some fun. The price definitely shows but if your just learning and playing around, its a great racket.

This is my first tennis racket so the review is strictly based on a new player's experience. I love it, really. Its simple, comfortable to use and looks great. I would definitely recommend it for the new players. Do not look at ten places, just get this one and you are done.
