great way to practice, but shouldn't it last?,

I got this net and set it up in February and been using it fairly regularly. I was hitting some balls tonight and noticed some tears in the netting much to my disappointment!
Shouldn't a $100.00 golf net last longer than 3-4 months? Completely unacceptable.

Disappointed in Wilson Golf Extreme Cage Net,

I received the net missing a pole which you obviously need to erect the net properly. But I was particularly disappointed in the net and its ability to stop a golf ball. It no more stopped a driven golf ball than drapped toilet paper! Unless you hit the nylon target, you have lost a ball! I may as well hang the nylon target alone from a tree and the results will be the same if I miss the target!

pitching the tent? extremely serious challenge cage net to put together,
This review is from: Wilson Golf Extreme Challenge Cage Net (Sports)
it was the best price around and when it finally showed up at my door i couldn't wait to put it together until it was harder than it looked. you should use more than one person to put it together maybe it was my fault but the net was not fast nor easy to set up, just like the box says it was a challenge. Extremely! I would not recommend this product for someone who has no time nor patience for an hour long set up process. I do recommend anything that folds up quick and pops up into position. But the extreme deal would be an actual 10x10x10 cage you could get online for less than 500$. You might have to spend the money but to not have to deal with the headaches over and over again putting this together is well worth it. find your self an area out side and build your real cage and enjoy it all year long. The nets are not worth the time nor the money, balls still fly up out of the net, you have to be really close and the fabric is just like a tent. with as much force as im hitting the balls with it wont be long till the material is damaged. Dont waste your money even if you do get it for 60 bucks. The wind will always win, once it catches sail it tumbles like sage grass. Get Bigger Better Deals with the real Cage.

An absolute hunk of junk and a nightmare to assemble.,

I bought this for my two nieces, age 10 and 12. I spent the better part of a day trying to figure out how this thing went together. Keep in mind that one of my primary pass times is hiking and putting up various tents...well, I have been doing it for years and did not just fall off a turnip truck when it comes to stuff like this. Anyway, the directions where horrid and it was an absolute nightmare. But that is not all.
After using this thing for less than one month it is already falling apart...the net is getting holes in it and to be frank, it looks like crap. Now these girls that are using it are not rowdy girls...they are quite serious about their game and as far as I can tell there has been no outlandish abuse of this piece of equipment...it is just poorly made and simply has not held up to normal use. Now we are not talking a great deal of money here (I paid around one hundred for the one I bought), but at that price and with the reputation this company has, you would think they could have come up with something a bit better. I do not recommend this product.

I bought this net for my son for Christmas. His last golf net lasted 2 years before it ripped. This one lasted 5 months. It is shredding to pieces. Unusable already. Do NOT buy.

This is a piece of junk. It is very difficult to assemble. I used it 2-3 times then one of the poles broke in half. Very poor workmanship. Don't waste your money.

Buyer beware,

This cage net was impossible to assemble and it ripped while trying to erect and bend the poles. I threw it back in the box and returned it to Amazon for a complete refund. Very poor workmanship!

Do not buy this product. We purchased the net for our high school-age daughter this past Christmas and have had it set up for her to practice on. Not only did balls break through the netting after two months of light useage, but the seams where the netting was attached/glued have separated causing the areas between the supports to sag and fall apart. The netting itself is disintergrating. Great idea, poor craftsmanship.

I purchased this Golf Net for my husband for Father's Day. Two months later it has dry rotted and full of holes, because it can no longer stop anything that hits it. The Wilson banner and bottom liner still look brand new, as it should, but the net is terrible!
I have since requested information regarding a replacement from Amazon [seller], but have had no return correspondence from them. [I've never had any problem with anything I've purchased through Amazon, until now.] Possibly, I will have to go directly through Wilson to have this dealt with. I am very disappointed in the quality of this product. |
