But there are a few downsides to the low cost.
The cover is made of a more easily dented cardboard and of the five I ordered, two arrived folded- and when it gets folded, it doesn't retain it's shape- it actually flops which defeats the whole purpose of a binder and renders it useless.
The other thing is the ring gets in the way, so if you print double-sided and want to write on the other side these giant rings are completely round and will impede your hand. Higher end binders use the kind of quasi-square loop which is much easier to get by.
Last bit is because it uses the completely round ring- the pages don't rest properly on one side like they would in a more expensive binder, they stay kind of flopped in the middle making them prone to rip.
I nitpick though, but I use binders a lot and these things matter to some. Still for the price I think it was still worth it- and Amazon's great customer care came through and they replaced my two binders at a lightning speed.
This Wilson Jones 2 inch binder is perfect for most classes - it has the standard clear sleeve on the front and back, for labeling or decorating. It has round rings with two levers on the ends to push for opening and closing. It's the standard size to hold 8.5 x 11" papers.
What I didn't like is the bendy covers - mine came already bent in the mail, which wouldn't bode well for daily use. We'll stick with more reasonably priced binders.
It arrived in a condition that was unusable but I could still "Test" it out for review purposes. I have an Avery binder I have had a few years now to compare I too and Avery is far more durable and solid then Wilson Jones. I like binders with a view, meaning you can slip something behind that outer plastic to state whats inside.
College students or High School students - great idea to photo copy your text book and slide that sheet in the outer plastic. You will have a nice looking binder, easy to spot to the course you need it for. However- stick to Avery products.
The bottom ring was bent on arrival but you can see they easily bend / are not as strong and sturdy like the Avery binder I have that is 2 inched size as well. The binder itself is very flimsy, you can almost take it and bend it where it will "wrinkle" Mine did arrive with one side all bent and wrinkled but the side that was fine I could easy bend and almost "squish" down... so if you have a book bag of heavy books and traveling to and from class I can not see how this binder would stand up to that amount of pressure and usage.
My recommendation is to go with a better brand like Avery that you know will stand up to the durability and last you a long time.
I especially like the side panel/spine clear cover so that I can add a label to the spine. This helps when the binder is shelved so I can easily see what is in it without having to open it. The clear plastic continues on the inside creating sleeves on the inside front and inside back to hold more information or notes.
This binder is great for organization of large projects.
Wilson Jones makes a slightly higher quality binder with a simpler catch and slightly thicker cover, but the difference is a matter of personal preference, as both are perfectly serviceable for students, and neither is a superior or inferior product to the other.

It's a 2" ring binder. Really not much to say about it. I haven't been able to use it long enough to see how it will hold up. Read morePublished 14 days ago by Yoda OK
