As long as teachers insist on 3 inch binders, you may as well go for reasonably priced ones. I found this product to fit the bill. Decent, not great, but priced OK. Holds up as long as the super-high priced ones. Why pay more?

Besides the size and the fact that it matches a binder I already have, one main reason I ordered this binder from Amazon was that, in the picture above and at the right, it has the black, angled end pieces to enable easier closing. When I received my binder this morning, there were no such black (or any other color) end pieces. I have been a satisfied and regular customer of Amazon's for quite a long while, and this is the first time that I can remember that I didn't get exactly what I THOUGHT I had ordered.

Admittedly, these aren't the best and most durable binders in the world. However, the fact that I can (at present time they're under three bucks each) buy 5 of these for less than the price of 2 comparable avery ones makes these a no brainer. They are sturdy enough to hold documents on office shelves or for general school/organizational usage. Keep in mind, you need to realize that you are getting a bargain binder here, for less than half the price of "name brands." In that light, these binders get 5 stars!!! If they cost as much as avery though, the rating would be lower.

My son's first grade teacher requested a 3 ring binder as part of the school supply list. When I began searching for this product in stores I nearly had a heart attack due to sticker shock!! These binders were going for $10-15 in stores. Unfortunately or fortunately every store we went to was sold out of this size binder. Being pressed for time I ordered it on Amazon so I could have it quickly. I choose this particular binder because it was priced right and appeared to be good quality online. In person the binder is more than adequate for what it's intended to be...a binder. It serves it's purpose well. I was pleased with my purchase and will definitly purchase it again.

I bought this binder for long-term storage of some papers, which the product accomplishes fine. However, I wouldn't use it if you plan on accessing the materials in it very often. The rings in the binder are completely round. Therefore, pages near the end of the binder get "curled" near the edge attached to the binder. Other products have rings that are flat near the ends, which remedies the aforementioned problem and makes flipping through pages much smoother.
