(Almost) Perfect Beginner Set,
I started learning how to play golf back in March this year, by signing up for lessons at the local driving range. After four hours of class time, about about ten hours at the range, I knew that this is just the game I am dead serious about learning because it's so challenging!
And so the quest for a beginner set began... My requirements are simple: a reasonably priced, complete set that is easy to use and can grow with me. While the Wilson ProStaff DCG is probably not the cheapest set out there, it definitely is within the "reasonable" range. The only other stuff you really need to buy before you go out to play: putter, bag, some balls, and a bag of tees. Oh, and don't forget 'em club head covers. The set comes with 1-3-5 wood, 3-4 hybrid, and 5-P iron. A new player can definitely learn on this set, and after a hundred or so hours at the range and a few rounds on the course, just add a high loft attack wedge of your choice and your set is complete. The Wilson ProStaff DCG set is definitely not going to be your bottleneck when you up your game, the clubs are well made, made to be easy to use, and surprisingly they also deliver great distance. I had a friend with me at the range (who's handicap is single digit), when properly swung, these babies pack amazing fire power! Oh, I should also add that the pitching wedge offers great feel and feedback. For my very first round, my short game surprised everyone in my group. FYI my first around I scored 122, that's mostly because I 3-putted most of the 18 holes. :) These are steel shaft irons though, so they feel a little heavy. It'll probably take a little time to get used to, but once you learn to swing it and can up the swing speed, the feel and feedback are much better than graphite, IMHO. I will not say that this set is better than the others because, well, I have not used other sets out there. But really, who has? As a beginner, I needed a reasonably price set that was easy to learn on, and won't be out grown too quickly. This set is perfect for me, and I hope it will be for you as well.

Great clubs for the money. Have not played in 8 years. Went to the range twice and already played a round. Hard to mishit the driver - I was surprised to hit 250 yard drives with so little practice. Irons are solid and forgiving. Great set arrived in two days with Amazon prime.

Love the irons. Easy to hit and very forgiving. The fairway woods are ok. Can't stand the Hybrids and driver.
Can't seem to hit anything with them. Replaced the driver with SuperFast Burner. 2115|R2UC9ZES3I1SR5;2115|R3BA7X7X4EZCRD;2115|R1TX97NCO6SQLG;
