Wilson Official AVP Outdoor Game Volleyball

I purchased this exact ball at a local sporting goods store last year for $60 + tax, so $43.98 total including S/H seemed like a steal. The ball is easily one of the two or three best sand balls on the market, however, when you buy it in the store, it comes in the original box inflated to prevent warping or becoming egg shaped. This most recentball came deflated and folded into a box just about big enough to hold a softball. After inflation, the ball still has some uneveness to it that I hope will get beat out of it after use. If not, saving $20 was useless.

Just received my ball in the mail and it comes in a square box that was barely large enough to fit the ball. The problem with this is that the ball receives uneven pressure on it while it is getting delivered and ends up lopsided. When you spin it, it rotates unevenly - this is precisely why the original packaging stores it in a way that puts even pressure on all sides, but for some reason they don't ship it in that package.

Also, I went to costco recently and noticed they were selling these for $29.99, free from lopsidedness. Basically, you can and should do much better than this offer.

Obviously this is a great ball and the beach standard for good reason, but the review here is for the specific seller, and the way it is shipped...

This ball is good. It is soft right out of the box and doesn't need breaking in like the black and white spaldng ball. Between these two its personal preference. These are the only two balls that anyone I know plays with. You can't go wrong with the Wilson AVP ball.

The ball is absolutely the best. The one I got however was in one of those cardboard surroundings and was really warped. It has evened out since then but still a little warped.

This AVP product seems to be missing the SIGNATURE of the Commissioner, which is clearly visible in the picture, so I wonder how "official" it really is. Was a lot of money to pay for a copy, I think.

You can't go wrong with the Wilson Official AVP beach volleyball, it's been the best beach volleyball on the market for years. In addition, Amazon had the best price on it and had fast and free shipping. The ball came fully pumped up in the original packaging (all inside a protective box) so that it didn't have any wrinkles or lines from being shipped flat or semi-full, and it wasn't lopsided either.

This is the best outdoor ball in my opinion. Just about everyone at the location I play, twice a week, has this ball and we all love it. Nobody uses the other brands' balls that are laying around that the bar bought. I bought the replica in the past, used it for 2 weeks, and its terribly. Not even close to this, the real thing. Pony up the $50 for this ball, its worth it! The material is very comfortable for setting and the compression feels great, with some leway for air pressure, for passing and hitting.

Great volleyball for outdoor play, quick shipment, and easy ordering. Pretty typical for Amazon. Happy with my recent purchase and will continue to purchase from Amazon shops.

I played with the Mikasa, but this ball seems to handle windy conditions a little better. very happy with the product.

love this ball. have tried/bought several but nothing as good as this one. thank you Wilson! and thank you amazon.
