5.0 out of 5 stars Great for gal or guy!
Love this racquet!

I play 4.0 USTA Ladies 1st singles AND doubles with a better than 500 record. I won 4.5 Ultimate Tennis in my area (thanks to a strong opponent's sister having her wedding on the weekend of finals ;-)
I use touch, drop, lob, spin and have recently added topspin driving strokes on forehand AND backhand as well as topspin lobs (old...

3.0 out of 5 stars according to Wilson the kzen team is no longer the same
I read many good reviews of the kzen team only to learn that the prestrung kzen team is a mass produced racquet that Wilson says is not the player racquet it previously offered and is not necessarily made to be restrung. Not sure how to tell the differecne, but the prestrung performance racquet sells for around $90 and the old kzen teams apparently sold for much more...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for gal or guy!, September 12, 2009
Love this racquet!

I play 4.0 USTA Ladies 1st singles AND doubles with a better than 500 record. I won 4.5 Ultimate Tennis in my area (thanks to a strong opponent's sister having her wedding on the weekend of finals ;-)
I use touch, drop, lob, spin and have recently added topspin driving strokes on forehand AND backhand as well as topspin lobs (old lobs were ALL backspin)! THIS RACQUET DOES IT ALL! Light head allows you to quickly adjust at the last minute to ball changes due to funny bounce, spin, wind, etc. This is a MUST for my kind of game.
Folks who swing for the fences on every shot might prefer more weight in the head.

Warning:
It looks just like the K Zen (no "team" in the name), which is a tad heavier in the head. I prefer the K ZEN TEAM. I accidentally bought a "no team" off a rack at a store & my first purchase was the 4&3/8 (size I've ALWAYS used) which felt too big. So... I now use 4&1/4, my hubby (good USTA 4.0, has kick serves, etc.) uses the 4&3/8 with a wrap, and my daughter uses the "no team". My 2.5/3.0 pal tried mine & LOVED IT! -- so I think it's good for all abilities.

Alert:
Wilson is phasing them out. Academy sells larger grip sizes in stores. I could no longer order one through Golfsmith, & I panicked -- I had to stock up before they became extinct! Thank you Amazon! I ordered three more & hubby is about to get several in his grip size. Now I'm set for the next few years :-)

PS: Golfsmith sold them unstrung; my Amazon order arrived STRUNG! COOL!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great racquet, April 20, 2009
This review is from: Wilson [k] Zen Team Tennis Racquet (Sports)
This is a review form an intermediate player than went from an oversize to a medium size racquet. I used this racquet yesterday and it was an easy transition from my previous one. It is incredibly balanced and you get to have more control and feel, as stated by the manufacturer. I highly recommend it. Great value and cool-looking.

Not sure how to tell though and have only hit the prestrung China racquet, and not sure what i have actually bought.

4.0 out of 5 stars not a bad starter racquet, July 22, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
New review. It`s not a bad starter racquet, strings are nylon, somehow big head and it`s light, but not too light to be hard to hit with. did`t try other racquet in the same range\price so I can`t comment on whether it`s the best in this range or not.
