Don't get me wrong, these candy melts are good, but amazon is selling them for 4 times as much as the actual products website themselves!!! ($2.99 for a 14oz bag there) C'mon Amazon, stop ripping people off!

This MUST be a price mistake.... which in my experience is impossible to get corrected over the phone, through Amazon's customer service line. If this is in fact a single 14 oz bag of the melts as it is listed, the price should be a third of what they are selling it for. Now as for the product itself- it doesn't hold a candle to Merkens brand... in my humble opinion.

I have to echo prior comments. I just came to Amazon hoping I could buy candy melts by the case (as they sell many other food items) and pay much less than the $2.99/bag I can in stores locally. There is no way this $6+ price is correct. It says it's for one bag. It can't possibly be correct. Who is going to pay 2-3 more for one bag? I hope this is fixed soon as I'd love a source for these online for less in bulk.

Come on Amazon! Over $5 for these melts? That can't be right. Our local small-town store is selling them for half that price, and I've seen them priced even lower than that at other retailers.

That being said, these melts are OK. For best results, use a chocolate melter or double-boiler. If you want a really smooth coating, buy Paramount Crystals; otherwise it's nearly impossible to get the smooth look you see in confectionery stores or photographs. For home use, these melts are OK. If you really want nice ones, go with a higher-end brand from a bakery supplier.

I purchased these for cake balls at a party and got them through Amazon because they offered the best price. They arrived in good time, but they were completely melted and starting to ooze out of the packaging. I figured they would have been mailed with a chill pack or something, considering they came from Arizona to Texas in June. Ayway, I returned them for a refund. The product itself is great. I ended up getting them at Hobby Lobby (cost more, but they weren't melted!) and they worked out just fine.

I have checked Wilton on line and local stores that carry this item. $2.99 on line + shipping and $3.25 at local Wal Mart + 10% tax in my area. Both are much cheaper than Amazon. What goes here? I usually find great pricing through Amazon, but this is ridiculous.

There is definately something wrong with the price of this product.Because in stores they are sold for 2 or 3 dollars a bag.And they aren't big bags either.I was going to buy some but the price is just too high.

They're easy to use in molds & are delicious!

The chocolate took a bit longer to melt than the package instructions indicated, but the chocolate was delicious. Someone described it as artisnal.

My daughter used these to make "goblin feet" cookies and they came out great! I was worried they'd taste like fondant or something, but the flavor was fine and they were simple enough for her to use.
