4.0 out of 5 stars Good Low-end Woodworking Vise
This vise does not have the heft of a Record or Jet, nor does it offer quick-release functionality. It is a good basic vise with a bench dog for 1/4 to 1/3 the price. If you are outfitting a top-end workbench then get the Record. If you just need a vise but don't want to invest too heavily, this will do the trick.

A pretty good vise for the money. It has a useful dog and OK construction. I don't like the fact that it must be cranked open and closed (no quick release). And, it is a little on the small side. But, like I said, It's a good value.

This vise is an excellent choice for the average part-time woodworker. Be advised it does not come with any installation instruction. It is a great vise for the price and the shipping was free!

Pros - Great price and built solid.

Cons - Thin, plastic coating began to come off within a few months. The metal wasn't prepared adequately and rust developed, causing the laminate to flake off.

I work in plexi/acrylics and this is a requirement! Covered it with Duct-tape and it works great. I had to build a mount so I could top mount it though.

Good vise for the price, mounted to the workbench very easily, Would have liked a template for the mounting holes and for the slide up pin to be a little sturdier but over all a good product

great vise i have it mounted on my work bench with holes 12 in apart and with the dog it holds pieces tight i don't think a person can go wrong with this product
