I guess if you are actually taking the class somewhere you would have to get this, but I figured I'd just get the books/kits and learn on my own. Nothing in here that you can't learn for free on You Tube, and the tiny oval pans just get in the way, I just don't know what to do with them. My biggest complaint is for all the course kits, several of them have the exact same tips, mats and lame cake stands in them. You would think each kit builds off each other, but instead each kit assumes you don't own any of the others and comes with stuff you already have. So keep that in mind when getting these.
