This is a professional product for the serious home baker.One warning note, for best performance, you should also purchase the insert core as well, but it does work without it. I have used it a number of times, for everything from cakes to bread puddings to bars. It has performed well with everything.

I have many pans from the Decorator Preferred collection and they are excellent. The construction is heavyweight aluminum, the cakes bake evenly and release quickly from the pan. I prefer this series for the precise construction of the pans. You do need the Wilton Heat Core, which is sold separately on Amazon. Wilton Decorative Preferred Heating Core Bakeware

I used this pan for Outrageous Brownies which came from the Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten) cookbook and this is perfect. I read the review about the "Requires Decorator Preferred Heating Core" and haven't a clue what that is about. I used this pan as I do any other sheet pan and it baked extremely well. The only complaint that I have is that it was a little difficult to clean the inside corners of the pan which I am sure is designed that way for perfect squared off corners for a wedding cake.

I decided to make my own sheet cake and am glad I found this pan. It worked great! I did use the recommended heating core and my cake came out perfect. I'm looking forward to baking more cakes using this pan. The cake easily came out of the pan without any issue.

I purchased these pans because I had an order for apple birthday cakes. The pans are a nice heavy quality. There are no sharp or uneven edges. The cakes baked perfectly and evenly. They released easily when I had only sprayed and floured them. The cakes were perfectly shaped and easy to frost. I have since used the pans to make a large batch of brownies and a couple of pies for large gatherings. I was going to put them away until needed for the next sheet cake, but have found I will use them for many other things so I am keeping them handy. I would definitely buy them again.

Bakes a nice cake. Make sure you get the core thing ( search for wilton core) so that the center will cook same as the edges.

I ordered this to take to California with me to bake a special cake for my high school graduating class reunion. Turns out my Mom's oven is too small so I will have to bake it here and pack it in my checked baggage, too heavy for me to lift and carry. Wish me luck!

i use this pan for a lot of baking needs (not just cakes). i am always looking for a large pan to accommodate food for large food gatherings. this just works perfect! great product!

I am completely happy with this pan. I used it for the first time to make my son's 2nd birthday cake and it came out really great. The edges stay clean and crisp. Much better then the rounded corners on the ones you can buy in the store.

I have not yet used this product, so my 2 star rating has nothing to do with the quality of the product (since I am unable to rate it that way yet). But imagine my surprise when my shipment arrives, and I find that the paper insert in the cake pan states "Requires Decorator Preferred Heating Core, sold separately." Nowhere in the item description did it state that when I purchased this item, otherwise I would have ordered one then!! Now I have to wait for yet another order to arrive before I can use this... AND pay for extra shipping. Fabulous. Thanks a lot, Amazon.com!
