This is a very nice pan..very sharp corners with a "lip" on each side to help lift it out of the oven. I just used Smart Balance Margarine and a light coating of flour to prepare it for the batter and when the cake was done, it just slipped right out of the pan. There is nothing better to bake with than simple, heavy aluminum pans and sheets. Your cakes and cookies come out with a beautiful surface, because aluminum bakes so evenly. I won't bake with anything else....you can have those "non-stick" pans that scratch and rust the first time someone accidentally uses a metal knife to cut the cornbread! I have become a Wilton convert!

I am very particular about the type of baking pans I use. I *never* use nonstick, as I just hate how they perform and the baked goods usually end up overbrowned on the edges. I have used this Wilton pan at least 5 times since I purchased it last month and it is awesome. Everything bakes evenly and it is a breeze to keep clean.

First of all, I had never made fudge before, and needed just the right pan a squar one to be exact, to store it in. After searching high and low and coming up short, I found on this site, this 8 inch squar pan that I believed would do the job. Anyway, I placed an order, and received it less than a week later. As soon as the pan arrived, I rushed to the kitchen and went to work. Well let me tell you, the fudge turned out perfectly, and much of it had to do with this pan. It was just the right size, and fit nicely in my small refrigerator. In less than 3 hours, I had the kind of fudge that melts in your mouth. Thank you amazon.com, and Wilton for making a product conducive to great cooking.

I did not realize that the preferred pan was completely straight on all sides. Which was great, the cakes baked so perfect, I did not have to hardly level them at all. I plan on getting other sizes.

I just love this pan. It makes the perfect brownies, and a beautiful quiche, the straight corners make everything look so polished, so professional, everything browns evenly. I have two of them for a square layer cake, and use them a lot!

A true 8x8 pan is hard to find. After looking at what was available online I decide to purchase this on after reading other reviews. My mom loves the pan. It cooks evenly and cleans up nicely.

This review is for the Wilton Decorator Preferred 8-by-2" Square Pan. As the title of this review says, it is a heavy-duty, high-quality product that has now produced excellent results for several months. I highly recommend it.

This 8" square pan is a gem. It fits perfectly in our toaster oven. The sides are straight up and down and there is very little lip sticking out.

I purchased this based on reviews. Had I seen this pan in a store, I would not have purchased this piece of tin. I baked brownies in it for the first time and I had to chisel them out with a plastic spatula. The pan is now scratched up. After this experience, I wondered if the right Wilton product was sent to me. I have an oven that bakes perfectly. I really should send this to the Wilton Company in Illinois, even though this was manufactured in China.
