I own 2 of these, and they do keep the cookies from sticking that is for sure. But, they leave a taste in the cookies. Mild as it is it is still there.

I have been looking for easier ways to make my candy and also reduce waste. These pan liners are great. i use them for my hard candy such as peanut brittle and toffee and I no longer have to butter my pans or line them with foil.

These take great heat changes as I pour my syrup out onto the pan and it is at about 300 degrees. when the candy sets it just comes right off. And also being flexible allows me to crack the candy on the mat then pick it up and use the mat to pour the pieces into my containers.

I have not used them for baking as I bake on stones anyway.

I bought this to save on parchment/wax paper when baking cookies, and it's great for that purpose. My cookies have also baked well on it, about the same as they do on parchment. They don't stick to it and I haven't experienced the smell or taste of silicone in my cookies as other reviewers have. Cleanup is easy and quick.

The only problem I've been having is that every time I use this sheet, the silicone warps a little when exposed to the heat of the oven. The mat doesn't lose its shape or anything, but it does sort of "fluff" and bend in places, almost like fabric ruffles. Which isn't so bad if you're making oatmeal/chocolate chip or soft cookies. But if you're making cookies that need to keep their shape, like sugar cookies, this warping does affect the shape; in every batch I bake there are always one or two cookies that get ruined because of this.

Maybe there is something I don't know or am not doing correctly? I've never used any other silicone mat, so I'm not sure if this is just how they all react in the oven.

I got this to place between the dough and my rolling pin. It has to be floured to keep it from sticking to the dough but it relieves me of the hassle of repeatedly flouring my rolling pin. This, like my other silicone mat, simply does NOT provide flour-free/stick-free dough handling.

I like it mainly because it was the only mat I could find that was that size. I much prefer the original Sil mat, as it releases much easier then the Wilton!

I prefer the Silicone Solutions brand mat because it is thicker than the Wilton brand mat.

I use silicone mats for everything that goes into the oven on a baking sheet - not just for cookies or sweets. The Wilton mat works fine, but I agree with other reviewers that it is a bit undersized for my baking sheet.

I also agree with other reviewers that silicone mats retain odors and stain easily.

I use these to line the cookie sheets so that I don't have to clean them as often. I had been using waxed paper, but I prefer something re-usable to something I have to throw away.

This works great - They take up less space in my dishwasher than the cookie sheets, food doesn't stick as easily to them, though I do use a little oil anyway. They roll up small for storage, and I don't have to throw away paper every time I want to make cookies!

Over all, it's a good product and does what it's supposed to do. Nothing sticks on it during baking. However, the stain on it was impossible to wash off. I used the mat to line a baking sheet to bake some bread and the egg wash dripped on the mat and kinda burnt during baking. The stain is there since then and unable to wash off. Other than that, I love this product.

My wife says: These silicone mats are the greatest. I used them for baking peanut butter cookies. Without the mats, the cookies stick to the cookie sheets and get too dark around the edges.

With the silicone mats - no problems. They come off the mats easily and cleanly. The cookies are baked evenly all round with no dark edges.

The silicone mats wash up easily in soapy water between batches or in the dishwasher when all the baking is finished.

I would recommend these to everyone. BAKE ON!

My cookie pans always are hard to clean. So I got this. They don't stick and it cleans up easy.
