5.0 out of 5 stars Great pan, but it is long
The pan works extremely well: bakes and browns evenly. The thing is so non-stick that pam beads up and hardly does anything. I haven't brought myself not to use pam, but given the beading, I doubt it does much good. The muffins do stick slightly in the corners unless you let them cool for about 10 minutes in the pan, then they slide right out. The whole thing is...

3.0 out of 5 stars I had higher hopes for this
America's Test Kitchen reviewed a similar pan very well especially because of the handles on the sides. You don't put your finger in the cupcakes when you take them out of the oven. So that part is covered with this pan.

Before purchasing, I went to the local WM and found that they had a similar pan, but there were, well I will call them seams, where the cups...

The whole thing is non-stick, so cleaning is a breeze and baked on spillage slides right off.

The only problem is that with the handles, which are tremendously helpful in keeping your oven mitt out of the batter or baked good, the pan is so long that it does not fit front to back in my oven, which is a full size range. I thus need to turn it sideways and cannot put two pans on one shelf. Not a major negative, but something to consider.

Not that these things are likely to rust, but an easy way to take care of them is to hand wash them and put them back into the still-warm oven to dry. Works like a charm.

5.0 out of 5 stars First use went very well, August 9, 2007

I just received this yesterday and made blueberry muffins today. They cooked to a nice golden brown and, with the help of a little Pam spray, popped out nicely when done. The wide handles made it easy to remove from the oven with bulky oven mitts. It also cleaned up easily. I would recommend this muffin pan.

Works great for muffins and cupcakes. Was recommended by PBS' America's Test Kitchen. I actually order two more AND......a mini muffin pan!

America's Test Kitchen reviewed a similar pan very well especially because of the handles on the sides. You don't put your finger in the cupcakes when you take them out of the oven. So that part is covered with this pan.

Before purchasing, I went to the local WM and found that they had a similar pan, but there were, well I will call them seams, where the cups are welded to the top. So there's a possibility for the seams to widen, and harbor germs and become a cleaning hazard. Maybe they won't become a problem, but I would've rather had a solid molded piece.

Since this one at Amazon was a lot more pricey, I thought it would be better. The picture doesn't show these seams! But the product that came to me was the exact same piece as I found locally, only a different brand.

I did bake some muffins in it and they came out great and slid right out when done. I used non-stick spray just in case, but they still came out much better than my last pan with spray.

So there you have it. Good and bad. Good handles, cooks well, non-stick, but has seams which could become a negative.

My Family and I got two of The WILTON EXCELLE ELITE 12-Cup Muffin Pans, We really like and use them a lot especially during the Holidays, We don't have any problems with food getting stuck to the Pans, However, we use Baking Paper Cups, is nicer to get a Cupcake with Foil or Paper Cup, we make many Muffins and give them as Gifts, I got these Pans about two years ago and for a lot less in Price and still look as Good as New!...Check Pictures Posted, Thank You

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent quality for price, May 6, 2009
This review is from: Wilton Excelle Elite 12-Cup Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
I bought this several years ago. It has held up incredibly well over the years. It was fairly inexpensive and sturdier than most of the other pans I had to choose from. the only drawback i've had is that the baking spray leaves a film on the edges of the pan that is very difficult to get off without damaging the non-stick coating. Also, there have been times where something was overcooked in the pan and the pan got scratched when removing debris.

There is so much cheap stuff for sale these days, it's a great relief to receive such a high quality product. It's heavy, well made and should last a lifetime.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, December 6, 2008
This review is from: Wilton Excelle Elite 12-Cup Muffin Pan (Kitchen)
This is the first muffin pan I have ever purchased. My boyfriend and I are starting our first home together. Starting a new kitchen/home/life gets very costly. I have bought many things used (want-not-waste-not and eco-friendly, too!) and you would not believe the large amount of bakeware available second hand at garage sales and ebay.

However, I made the decision to buy this because of the wide handles. It really does make it easier.
