The best ever!,

This review is from: Wilton Excelle Elite 9-1/4-By-5-1/4-Inch Loaf Pan (Kitchen)
I have used many other brands of loaf/bread pans and Wilton is THE BEST by far. It cooks evenly and lightly browns the loaves of bread. I have been making my own bread for about 40 years. Now that I have found the Wilton Excelle Elite loaf pan, I will not use any other!!!

Heavy duty and durable from brand name Wilton. Stamped size on oversized lip helps to quickly identify size and they are easy to grab with oven mitts. With the heavier gauge, less burning of the crust.

I bought this Loaf Tin in January, 20ll. On the first use, the loaf was burnt a little on the bottom. Because of the material used, the heat in the oven should be turned down a notch below what is recommended. But overall, this is an excellent baking tin. The depth also allows for complete fit of the contents.

I actually purchased this in a Target store. I picked it over a lesser-priced brand because it had a heavy weight feel to it, which made me think it would be long lasting and of higher quality. I used it about 20 times. I noticed today that there is a piece of teflon that has chipped off - and so I scratched at that area with my fingernail to find that the rest is going to easily chip off now as well. The only utensil that I used on it was a teflon-safe plastic spatula, and as a cheap-skate, I take good care of my stuff- because I don't want to replace it lol. Anyway, I threw the chipped thing in the garbage and will buy a different brand. I really expected this pan to last for years like my other (unknown branded) non stick baking pans.Does really cook evenly though! Makes a great pound cake! |
