This pan is wonderful for an easy impressive cake (filled) However I use one half for a "MaryJane" pan by cutting off the center raised area "knob"(after baking the cake) and filling the cake top indentation with a cream cheese filling then topping with a design of cut strawberries, kiwi or any other fresh fruit in season. Makes an impressive presentation and is little work! Looks much like a fruit tart when you are finished.

I love baking and always happy to find an unusual cake pan. Nice weight to the pan. I like to use those Magic Cake strips for even baking (silver wrap-around material)

My first use for this pan was a carrot cake with whipped cream cream cheese filling and frosting. PERFECT!! I can't wait to make my next cake and fill it with ice cream.

Although you can use cake mix, Use this recipe. 2 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
(Yep, I said All purpose flour),2 eggs, 1 Tbsp Baking Powder, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1 1/4 cups sugar, 1 stick Margarine,1 cup plus 3 Tbsp Milk, 1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract. Mix high speed till smooth. Bake at 350.
Both pans are identical.
You can make 2 Fancy cakes using each pan. Just fill the ring with cherry or other filling, fresh or canned. Frost the sides with whipped topping or frosting. Hidden filling or open ring filling, I recommend this wonderful cake pan.

This pan is great. I used it the other day for the first time for my newborn niece's party, and it was fantastic. Also, it comes with a little recipe booklet that can definetley come in handy.

I was used to using regular round pans, cutting out the center, I also tried using a spoon to make a mote method. Both left me praying I didn't cut too close to the edges, because then my cakes bulge at the sides or worse, crack, which would get crumbs in my icing or make my icing look uneven, which all in turn would make me want to never bake again.

My boyfriend bought me these for christmas, and I used it for the first time while baking for our new years eve party, I used spray canola oil and there was virtually no sticking, I followed the directions on letting them cool for x amount of minutes before flipping the pan, they lined up evenly and effortlessly when I stacked the two filled cakes. These pans are one of my favorite out of all my specialty pans and I won't be using my 8 inch rounds ever again when it comes to a filled cake..

For new years I used box brownies (took two boxes) and filled it with a no bake cheese cake then iced it with coffee chocolate creamcheese icing. The whole thing was a huge hit, took half the effort and looked twice as nice!

On a side note; A small recipe book was included with these pans.... It was nice to see that they added some savory suggestions (although they sounded gross) but, I like when specialty things like this can be used outside of a just a dessert.

Bought these on a whim to fulfill the 4-3 special promotion Amazon had. They're very small, but I knew that when I purchased them. I actually have two sets now, and I'd recommend that to increase the number of cakes you can make at one time. They are great to use for making cakes for teachers, co-workers, neighbors, etc. Perfect size in my opinion. The included recipes are really good and you're really only limited by your imagination on the wonderful creations you can make.

I go this for my sister in law who is a baker. She had been looking for something like this forever, and I fnally found it for her on amazon. She loves it.

Like just about everything I have purchased from Wilton, these pans are solidly made and heat very evenly. Great pans.

Used it the other day. Everyone was very impressed with the cake. It's a quality cake pan. I'm very satisfied.
