I purchased this cake pan to make an armadillo cake for my daughter's reception. I had never tried it before, but it worked perfectly. If anyone is trying to make an armadillo cake, this is the way to go!

I love wilton's shaped cake pans! The only thing I have to say is that I always have trouble with the cake sticking when I follow the instructions. They say to only cool for ten minutes before removing the cake from the pan but when I've tried this the cake always sticks! If you let it cool completely before taking the cake out of the pan it comes out beautifully.

Great pan! I have made several cakes now and they all come out very nicely. I had to put the pan on a cookie sheet before putting it into the oven because it would wabble otherwise. But the lines and stitches were very visible after baking the cake. I enjoy decorating it. My husband loved the surprise. Will buy again

I bought this pan to make football cakes at my bakery for football season. They came out great & were such a big hit (I posted a few photos of the cakes on here for y'all to see)!! To make the cakes look more like a Saints football, I added some Fleur Di Les chocolate candies using a candy mold. Everyone was impressed! The very first cake I made broke on both ends while I was getting it out of the pan so make sure to support the "pointed ends" of the football when taking it out of the pan.

I bought this item from Hobby Lobby and then after I read reviews, I was a little doubtful because of the troubles a lot of people had about it not baking well. However it ended up perfect for me! The only problem was that it took longer than usual, about twice as long.

First, make sure you spray the pan with non-stick something so the cake comes out of the pan easily. I used Pam spray. Then also make sure the cake pan is balanced in the oven so it bakes evenly as possibly. I set the temperature lower at 325 degrees instead of the recommended 350 so that the outside of the cake wouldn't burn. After about 30-35 minutes, the inside of the cake was still jiggly but the outside was done, so I continued to bake at 5-10 min intervals, checking after each time. After about an extra 30 minutes (1 hour total), the cake was finally done- it was cooked on the inside and not burnt on the outside. The cake ended up being bit rounded on top, so all I did was take a knife and slice off the top while it's still in the pan.

bought this at Michael's for my b.f.s birthday. It was horrible baking, the center was still raw and jiggling. the cake ended up being horrible. It was SO dry. It looked amazing on the outside but I was embarrassed to serve it for how offal is was. I use it for jello now.

I was super excited to get this cake pan for the Superbowl and had grand plans for a chocolate football cake. When I put it in the oven, the cake pan had bent (due to the heat) and then leaned very heavily to the lower right hand side which made the cake batter in the pan ooze out which eventually burned. I had to use a large espresso cup to prop up the right side and use a large latte mug to hold down the left side. As a result, the cake didn't cook evenly and created a mess. I'm sure there are higher quality, more durable football shaped cake pans out there. I wanted one on the cheap and I now wish I hadn't.

I bought this for our annual Super Bowl party. You can make cakes with it, but I used it with chocolate kispy treats. I used cocoa krispies and marshmallows, adding a little cocoa powder to darken the white marshmallows. I used some vanilla frosting to decorate the laces and lines. Was a big hit.

I love this pan. I made a Noah's ark cake using this pan. It looked great. I have also made a football, & it turned out great. You can not only use it as a cake pan, but you can mold it with rice crispy treats. It is a great pan to have.

I needed this pan to fill an order for a football related birthday party and this pan was absolutely PERFECT for the job. I also used it to make a cake for a superbowl party(the cake was a hit) Thanks again!
