Smaller than expected,

Perhaps I wasn't paying enough attention when I ordered these but the cutters are way smaller than I expected. They are literally 3/4 of an inch high and generally slightly less than that wide.
Unfortunately the small size means the cut out part are really thin in places. So much so that for some letters it's all but impossible to get the cut out shape out in one piece. For example on a P, the upper bar is so thin that every one tore. Wilson used to make some 2" cutters which worked well, and they do make 3" ones both in metal and plastic. Unless you are really looking for small detailed letters, I would have to recommend either of those over these tiny ones.

way too small to be of any use,

these cutters are tiny, which means that on letters with small parts, like the E or the 8, they are impossible to get release without getting mangled. No amount of powdered sugar or cornstarch or blowing or gently prodding with back of a paintbrush will release these without hurting the letters.

I bought these in the store, so I knew their size when buying them. I've been using them for over a year on tons of cakes. My letters always come out looking professional and clean. I use the dull end of a tool from my Wilton gumpaste tools to pop out some of the more intricate letters, but I generally don't have any issues. It just takes some practice. I wash them in my dishwasher in a small basket and let them air dry before putting them back into their holder. I've added photos of two cake examples I've used these cutters on.

Wilton ABC and 123 Fondant Cutters,

These cutters are great and a perfect size for cake and some cookie decorating. The letters release much easier when the fondant is slightly thicker. Also, the Wilton Fondant 10-piece Tool Set comes with the modeling sticks and the smallest stick is helpful in releasing the fondant from the cutter. Wilton Gum Paste Modeling Tools

Some difficulty with fondant stuck in cutters,

These cutters served my intended purpose - cutting out letters to put on a cake. I did have some letters that I had to do more than once because the fondant got stuck in the cutter, but overall I was satisfied with this product.

I love these cutters! i use them as often as i can. They have clean sharp edges. A few of the letters like "E",and "G" are a little awkward looking and may need some reshaping with your fingers, but its not really a big deal.
This tool is very useful for my cupcake business. Ive read other reviews, as long as your working conditions are fine (fondant not stickey etc) then your cutters will do the job!

Most letters cannot be removed well enough to look presentable.,

I only gave these 2 stars because they do cut other things well (like cheese). But for these to be "fondant" cutters, they do a pretty shabby job. Knowing what I know now, I wish I never bought them.

Perfect for cutting fondant, but do take some practice/work to get the letters to release from the forms. Great size for cakes/cookies.

The Wilton Brand name is a hallmark of quality and value. I am using these to teach my 14 month old grandson the alphabet and numbers. I am using felt, wood, and yes, occasionally, sugar cookies!! They are EXACTLY what I wanted.
