Helpful, but dated.,

This review is from: Wilton How to Make Wedding Cakes (Kitchen)
I bought this DVD in the store where I take the Wilton method classes. While I did find that this video had some helpful information, the vid was DATED! It looked like it was filmed in the early, and I do mean early '80's. Remember, this video serves 2 purposes: it shows the viewer different ways of building multi-level cakes, and to present Wilton's products. It would have been nice to see some of the newer products put to use to make some of the more modern cakes. However, the information provided was clear and easy to follow. The hostess demonstrated 4 methods of stacked constrution. If you do decide to buy this video, consider buying a book; Wilton, or otherwise with more modern designs.

This video has a lot of interesting and useful information but I think you're better off taking a class and connecting with a teacher who can help you out if you have questions. However, don't take this class (Level III) if it's only offered on two days of four hours each--it's way too much information!
