I bought this to make for my preschool. They are the perfect size if you are only making a few, but it took me about 6 hours to make 12 of these. They are super cute though!!!

Wilton did a great job on the shape, etc, but I was disappointed in how flimsy they are. I noticed after a few houses that a few of the cutters had slightly bent and I had to straighten them back out.

But it was a good price and saved me the hassle of cutting them all out with a knife so I think they are worth the investment.

Great product!! A completed house, ready to assemble, in just 30 minutes!! Easiest gingerbread house I have ever made.

For the cost, I love these! They may not be the strongest metal, but when used properly will last for years. The directions clearly say not to press on the bar in the middle, press on the edges only.

I had to make 14 gingerbread houses for a party. I bought 2 cutter sets so the entire house could be in the oven at once. I rolled the dough out on a Silcone mat, pressed down the cutter, removed excess dough, and slid mat onto the cookie sheet. (Leave cutters in dough so there will be no spreading.) After baking, slide mat to cooling rack and lift away cutters. (They don't stick.) This couldn't get any easier!!

These are the perfect individual size at about 7"x7".

I used this last year to make 8 houses. I was tracing a template before...not good! I thought it was slightly flimsy but I am still going to order 2 more this year because I am making Gingerbread houses with my Girl Scout troop. I think for the price, you can't beat it. The shorter houses are from the Wilton Cutter.

I read the negative reviews on these, but decided to buy anyway. Flimsy didn't seem like a big deal to me, as I find that most metal cookie cutters out there are on the flimsy side. You just have to be careful with them. It's true that these are flimsy, but I don't think that's the biggest issue. I managed to get the four walls of our house up with some support while the icing set, despite corners that weren't perfectly square due to the lack of precision of the product. Trying to put the roof on was a joke, however. The angle is way too steep for something you're planning to affix with icing. The corners are not square enough to allow the roof to rest cleanly on the walls, and your icing would have to be really, super sticky to keep it from sliding down even if everything were perfectly square.

If you do go with these (the options are limited, after all!), I'd definitely recommend a very thick and sticky icing to fill in the gaps between the tops of the walls and the rood so that you can really secure it well.

Although packaging arrived intact, item one part had the handle unattached. Extremely flimsy. poor construction. Low, low quality. It bends easily. Not recommended.

Would pay extra and order another silicone mold the next time. These were too flimsy. Its ok, but definitely not what I expected. Wish I had paid attention to reviews posted on this item.

Great for making gingerbread houses from scratch. As any of their metal cutters, very light so easy to deform just in normal handling. Also, must be dried immediately after washing to prevent rust spots. Recommend King Arthur Flour Gingerbread dough recipe, rolled out to about 1/4" thick if you plan to make a house, with Wilton recipe Royal Icing.
