This board is meant to be purchased along with the decorating course books -- and preferably a class (found at local arts & craft stores like Michaels). Just buying this alone will not teach you much. When I first saw this product I was so excited for it to arrive. What I hadn't expected was something so small. When told it would have 32 different patterns in the kit it misleads you a little. When I first saw this product I was so excited for it to arrive. What I hadn't expected was something so small. When told it would have 32 different patterns in the kit it misleads you a little. You only get 7 or 8 sheets front and back with mostly basic fundimental designs on them that repeat only in a slightly different manner. It also doesn't give ANY instrustiion on how to do any of the "lessons" shown. you need to look at the picture and figure it out for yourself. If you are just starting out and don't know what you're doing this would be good for you. Otherwise you know everything that is shown here. Better yet save your money and take a decorating course.

This board is meant to be purchased along with the decorating course books -- and preferably a class (found at local arts & craft stores like Michaels). Just buying this alone will not teach you much. However, once you learn how to do the various techniques, this little board (size of about 1/2 a page) is great for practicing -- just wipe it off and slip in different patterns underneath the plastic cover sheet after each use. It's also nice because you can cut out or download other techniques and print them to use with the board. And the mini-easel is nice because it will allow you to practice as though you are decorating the side of a cake. But don't buy this alone and expect that it will teach you how to decorate -- you will need more instruction than this alone!
