Save your money,

Total ripoff. Less than an hour including extras, more shots of crowd members than players, and the boring voice-over frequently reminding us that this is the only tennis tournament that really matters doesn't help a whit. A truly pointless dvd with very little tennis. Summing up hundreds of matches in about 30 minutes of footage? You do the math.
Might be worth buying only if you were there and hope to see yourself in the many audience shots. Otherwise, with barely any tennis on the disc, what's the point? Pure fluff. Go instead to the infinitely better Classic Matches at Wimbledon series; the Borg/Mac 1980 dvd has more quality in five minutes than this does in 55, and costs half as much. Passola.

It's not so easy to buy some of these collections of earlier years - Wimbledon website seems to offer them briefly and then they mostly disappear and you have to look elsewhere. So I expect I was fortunate to get this - and I am still frustratedly searching for the 2003 collection but it seems totally unobtainable. I can't understand why Wimbledon can't still make it available.
I can't imagine any tennis fan would want to be without these splendid annual collections. In this one Federer of course thrillingly wins his second Wimbledon and if I recall rightly that was his 3rd Grand Slam out of the record 16 he now has. So far, I've only looked at his matches shown on the DVD as earlier today was my first chance to view the DVD, but from jumping through other parts, clearly wonderful memories will be brought back..... Henman, Ivanisovic, Lleyton Hewitt, and the Williams sisters to name but a few. And the usual background information, including the persistent rain that led to play on the first Sunday and a rain-interrupted men's final. One of the most iconic images of Wimbledon is of course its centre court with the various champions receiving their trophies. The other has to be grey skies and all the courts with their green covers drawn over as the rain pours down "again".... No roof on the centre court yet, of course. Highly recommended.
