Fun Gameplay, horrible execution!,

This game withstands the test of time. It's still as fun (in concept) as it was when it was on TV in the 80s. However, the graphics on this version of the game are horrible and the use of the drawing pad is almost non-existent. We had as much fun trying to guess the horrible scribbles that were coming from the pen as we did truly trying to play this game.
I am returning it tomorrow and purchasing the board game for my family.

Primative, at best,

Drawing is next to impossible and the game animation and music are like an old Atari. Don't buy it if you're easily frustrated by non-responsive stylus pads.

This game is still fun despite the poor graphics and poor equipment, but what makes the game not worth the money is the number of words available for play. The game is supposed to have 1500 words in its database, but after playing each difficulty level once or twice, all the words were repeats. After two days we cannot play anymore.

As very well described by a previous reviewer, the manufacturer for this game really ought to be ashamed. There have been enough descriptions of how poor the drawing is and how poor the graphics are; I echo these sentiments. We were horribly disappointed and I'm going to attempt to get a refund. I'd like to know if these products are really even tested on REAL people, not just people hoping to keep their job by saying it's great. The concept IS great but the product was very poorly developed and the result is a huge disappointment and I'm completely disgusted with this company. I would not be PROUD of this product, to put it bluntly, don't waste your money because it's lousy. If I could, I'd rate this 0 stars.

Save your money for real paper and a marker,

I bought this for my mom for Christmas and we finally got around to playing it tonight. After about an hour of trying to play, I felt horrible for giving this to her because it's just so bad. The tablet is pretty much useless for anything but large, simple shapes with mostly straight lines. Forget about the fake "screenshots" you see on the box; you won't get anything but horrible, jagged lines with this, and small details -- if needed in your drawings -- are impossible.
A previous reviewer was correct... it is sometimes fun to try to figure out the jagged shapes that the person is drawing, but for a game that requires drawing to play, this implementation is just awful. You can tap with the pen to locate the pointer on the screen, but much of the time your lines will start in random places. The "music" which plays during gameplay became so irritating after about two minutes that I unplugged the audio cable from the tablet to silence it; there is no way of turning it off in the game so you can still hear the ten second countdown. The game tablet is basically junk, and I think the THIRTY DAY warranty speaks volumes for the quality of this product... I would suggest spending your money on a large tablet of paper, an easel, and a few broad tip markers; you'll have far more fun that way than trying to play this game of frustration.

I thought this was going to be great...that it was about time, someone thought this up...then when my boyfriend bought this for me and we played it one night with our family, we hated it. The graphics were absolutely horrific. We will go back to playing the old way...with a big tablet of paper and a sharpie sitting around the living room.

Ok - no this game does not have awesome video graphics, but the basic concept doesn't exactly require them... although it is an "older" style game it is always a good time. I have played this w/ both my friends and my husbands friends... also at a bridal shower and each time it has ended with everyone laughing and having a great time.

Yes, I agree, the drawing can be a little difficult. But, in my opinion, it makes the game so much more fun. Because the things that are normally really simple to draw get slighty more challenging. Everytime I play this game with family or friends we have the best time. So many people ask me to bring it to any get togethers. We always end up laughing so hard at what everyone tries to draw. It really is a whole lot of fun.

I agree with "Sparkling Diamond!" Although the pen is awkward with the writing screen, that IS half the fun! I got this for my college-age son, thinking it might be fun whenever family is together, but was pleased to find that his friends, age 19-22, broke away from Texas Hold 'Em Poker, and started to play this game, usually going for 2-3 hour sessions! The laughter that resounds is worth every penny paid for this game!
Now, where do we find more clues? There appears to be a "slot" on the side of the game, where perhaps more "memory cards" could go! If anyone knows where to get these, please post! Thanks! P. R.

My friend got this game and a group of us played the other day. It is so much fun! The drawing pad is not the best to draw on but that's half the fun of the game, and it makes it harder to guess. The word to draw pops up right on the drawing pad, and we all liked the music. It was cute like old school Nintendo games. The best part is watching the funny drawings that come out of the pad. It's funny to know exactly what it is but the other team can't guess it. And some of the guesses had us hysterical. Overall it was a great time, and we are getting together to play again in a few hours!
