This does everything [as advertised]. I also have Ultra Wincleaner version 8 which works on WINDOWS XP. Before installing the NEW version 11, I ran version 8 [1] last time. After installing the new software, I was surprised to find out that it located and cleaned an additional 45.75 MB of junk files. Another good feature is that it protects the [user specified] cookies during cleaning. There is a chart on the box that shows the comparative differance between WINCLEANER ONE CLICK [100.0% effective], SYSTEM WORKS [81.8% effective], and SYSTEM MECHANIC [3.2% effective]. I have used ALL [3] of the programs listed and can verify that the performance differances on my system closely match the advertised figures!

I first found this software during my Win XP days, it was a great one, and this one I am using with Vista Ultimate.

Other then the fact that it removed my Printer Drivers on the reg cleaner portion, the rest worked great, and I was able to restore them with its UNDO feature.

It is still the best cleanup software.

WinCleaner OneClick does exactly what it says! I bought this product because my computer was really slow and was freezing up on me. I didn't want software that was too complicated, just something to get it running like it should. I found a goldmine in my first purchase!!! I'm not that computer saavy, but this product is easy to use and keeps my computer running fast and smooth. It installed within minutes (I was expecting at least half an hour) and I got back to using my computer in no time! My desktop comes up in no time when I turn my machine on and I am so happy with it - I tell all my friends and anyone with a computer that they should invest in this product. It's also a great gift idea!

The reviewers are not kidding folks. Does everything claimed for it, and more. A tech, I've recovered a good number of systems without a lot of fuss and bother. Has one click, which is great, and for fine tuning, loads of options to get things cleaned up SAFELY, and in good order. Using it for many years, and never failed. I hated to share its existence, because it was so good at what it does, but had to recommend to customers finally, though I lose a tad of business. It will keep the techs away for a long time, honest, and most importantly, keep your system nice and clean, neat, running in top order They could probably charge more and get it. Read the reviews here and at cnet for about 5-6 different PC tune up type programs and decided on this one. It was a good decision. My system is much faster than at anytime provious when I used Norton System Works. I would recommend this software.

I recently ran WinCleaner on a 6 year old Dell XP machine. This PC has had a ton of software installed and uninstalled over the years and had really slowed down.

While I do know my way around a computer, let me be clear in saying that I am not a computer expert by any stretch of the imagination. I simply loaded the CD and followed the instructions.

I can't say that I'm surprised by the amount of junk that was in my registry as that was why I wanted this software. What I can say is that it got rid of the junk without creating problems of its own. What more could anyone ask?

About the only issue I have is with the registration process. I felt that the instructions could have been clearer but I did manage to get through it.

My PC now boots in less than half the time and no longer hangs up when trying to run various applications. Highly recommneded as far as I'm concerned.

A pretty good product with a word of caution. It finds a lot of what it calls unused registry items, I am not sure whether it references the line item or how often it is used but, it removed some part of my network printer driver. I re-installed the driver and ran the cleaner utilities separately and I have not had any trouble since. Good product but pay attention to what it is doing.

The program works well, and is easy enough to navigate. My computer is still slow though, not sure if the program didn't help or if it's just the computer. Also, for anyone who knows a little about Windows, a big part of what it erases for you is Temp Internet Files and Cookies - 2 things you can take care of without purchasing a program. I will continue to use on a regular basis to clean up other Internet clutter though.

We bought WinCleaner several years ago. The product finally needed to be updated, so we tried other products (ie. System Mechanic, Fix It, etc.). None of the other products offered as many features as WinCleaner. The others 'fought' with installed virus protection and caused never ending problems (customer support was a nightmare).
So, we're back to good old WinCleaner, which ALWAYS WORKS, and has great customer support.

Seems to do what is supposed to do, and not anything else, which is a plus.

Sometimes, bloated apps. (like the Norton line of products, Microsoft line, etc.) just add unnecessary complexity that make them fragile and unstable.

In this area, I'm a former Norton devotee, but since they started development and support overseas a few years ago, I have been extremely unhappy. Today's Norton products should be ashamed to carry the Norton name, because they're abysmal now.

Thus, I started looking for an alternative, and found Wincleaner.

I'm happy with it. Go ahead and buy it -- it's cost is reasonable, and helpful; and much better quality than Norton.

I'm still happy with it and paid to renew it for another year. It's quick and easy, and cleans out at least 14 MB every time I use it. Plus, occasionally, things 'seem' to speed up after use (but hard to quantify).
