This will shoot things at faster than the speed of sound, so make sure your first shot isn't in a crowded backyard, because the crack will definitely get people's attention. The break-barrel takes some getting used to, and younger children may have trouble with it. It also doesn't one-handed snap into place, so be expected to treat this like a classic break-barrel rifle. I suspect this might loosen up after a while, or I'll get the muscle memory to use it right. Scope is good for fun days out and is relatively accurate. The only downside to this is that it's massive power limits its use in residential areas in some states, and may be restricted to gun ranges and hunting because of its power. In states where it isn't, it's an even more fantastic air rife and a great training tool.

I only gave it 4 stars because I wasn't a fan of the scope. I have had it for a few days now, and I have to say the sights on the gun are pretty spot on perfect, I didn't even have to adjust it. It wicked powerful as well, it's also pretty loud. I have been using H&N Silver Point pellets, the normal crosman hunting pellets make it sound like a real gun firing, so if you have neighbors, use a heavy pellet. Aside from everything I have said this gun really does kick some major butt, but with most gun/scope combos, the scope is very cheap. If you get the choice to buy it without a scope, it would be a 5 star.

This gun is perfect. No complaints. Although you don't need the scope. It's great for shooting raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, and small game birds. It is very accurate. It can easily hit a 1 inch target from 40 yards out.

Good for targets and small game.
However they are much cheaper at walmart.

A nice piece. A bit clunky. Made in China. Great knock down power for rabbits at 100 feet or so. toss the scope that comes with it.

i Honestly like this break rifle it's very powerful yea the scope isn't very good up to long range but it is very good and gets the job done well for what it is made for reason why i like this rifle its weight and its loudness . i don't really know why people are really complaining about it being heavy or not like really it's made from hardwood and has a steel fluted barrel and every thing else is practically steel except for the trigger and trigger guard so i wonder why it's 8+ pounds or you could have just read the damn description before buying it and if your getting it for you child and think it's to heavy for them but want them to someday actually hunt with you well this is a perfect training rifle due to its heaviness and its sound to get them used to even holding a rifle for junior shooters this thing is nothing near the weight or loudness of it so honestly just stop complaining

This rifle has the most unsafe "Safety" I have EVER encountered on any gun system anywhere. It is completely counter intuitive to anyone who is experienced with guns. Most guns that have a hammer involved with the "Safety", require that you pull the trigger while letting the hammer down to the "Safe" position. If you do that with this gun you will discharge the gun when you were not intending to. Complete "Fail" when "Winchester" is one of the gun manufacturers who incorporate the "half cock" on so many "millions" of their rifles. I had 8 of my friends try to "Safe" the gun without telling them about this quirk and all 8 of them fired the gun instead of placing it on safe. This model should be pulled and redesigned or eliminated.
